For black:

1. Zaino ( Zpc,Z5,Z2 and Z8 )

2. Souvran and Surluster

3. Blackfire and FMJ

This is what I found to be true on my black car.

I use Zaino and I love it. But all of your good quality products will give you a great wet shine...........only if your prep is GREAT!! ;)

Ditto on the prep. No matter what sealant/wax you end up using, the prep is the key, and very few of us Autopians can really tell the difference in the end result if you prep, prep, prep. And certainly your well detailed black beast will standout anywhere except at a convention of Autopians with black cars.

this is the new golf and 23 month old civic with KLASSE AIO and 2 layers p21s carnuba wax done this week with p21s shampoo na dlooks fine to us.(wife and I)

Could you put souveran layer on top of the p21s? and would it help.

Just had IZ perls shampoo so will use that next wash.

90% prep 10% LSP.. virtually anything will make black "pop.. " .. poorboys, zaino, meg's etc..

good rotary or dual action machine work, for a good prepped surface.. then it's really up to what you prefer in an lsp

The Evo got ZPC w/ polishing pad, Z2 Pro, and Z8.

I need a PC really bad. I cant get the shine like that by hand. I have so many cobb web effected and swirld marks on my black car when I look close.

Everyone is showing their AIO + wax steps... AIO is just a cleaner. It won't rid the surface of defects... So while it will give your car a nice shine, it won't improve your deep wet look.

Black shows flaws more easily. So prepwork is more important than the actual wax or sealant that you use. And for prepwork, you will want to use a PC. I use Poorboy's SSR2.5 with a medium polish pad. If I want to repair deeper swirls, then I use SSR2.5 with a light cut pad. Poorboys is not the best. It dusts like crazy but it's reasonably priced.

Look for a PC7424 for cheap, get either Menzerna or poorboys or stuff that people like (since you haven't tried any yet) and go at it with a proper pad. After that, just apply your usual Z5 and Z2.

Why wouldnt I apply just zaino in the first case. What is the point of buying menzera or poorboys?
