What is the best combo for black cars. Also do you need a PC buffer to get even a better shine than hand waxing? Right now Im just using z5, z2, Some basic shampoo by turtle wax. I dont know it probably sux. Then in between i use eagle one spray on to keep it wet in between washes. What are some of your combos you use to really get the black so so wet and deep shine. Im interested in purchasing new stuff or atleast looking.

Machine application is an option. I only tend to apply AIO by machine Otherwise, following that, I'll layer Wolfgang over a period of a few days and then spend a full day spit shining Souveran. One could repeat this application again, 24 hours later. It depends on how obsessed you want to be :D. You can spit shine with chilled distilled water or Crystal Mist. ( Keep it in the fridge with Souveran, no real evidence it truly makes a difference, just over the top fun at that point). Upkeep the look with Crystal Mist via a DF Towel. That's the combo for incredible beauty that does the trick for me.

aio is Klasse a polymer it is followed usualy with klasse sealent glaze and a lsp( last stage product) a carnuba wax which is what souvrain is an example

Go to the home page and in the upper right there is a link to the "super decoder ring"... There's all the AIO's and other goodies in there. Everybodys "best" stuff is different too.

I'm going to try this combo soon..

AIO

RMG

EX-p x 2

Nattys blue x 2

But for below, it was just ex-p and nattys blue x 2

Souveran is so expensive because people demand it for the shine, and it's benefit or value to them is worth the price.

Is poorboy's good? Whats there site? I like brands that have everything lined up, nice and in order of what you need for everything. Poorboy's vs zaino? What is the best brand for black cars.

The key to making black look it's best is in the prep work, not the wax.

Hand polishing is possible but difficult. I tried on my car and got nowhere. I now use a Porter Cable 7336SP polisher with excellent results. For a black daily-driver, machine polishing is the only way to go.

As far as polishes go, Menzerna products have the reputation for giving the best finish.

Whats the difference between the PC you have and the 7424, whatever the one everyone is talking about. Should I just get any PC?

PC stand for Porter Cable. 7424 is the number for a Porter Cable random orbit buffer. There is a PC 7336. The only difference is the counter weight. IIRC...

To answer your question about any pc.. There is only one PC 7424. This is the one that seems to be the favorite of entusiasts as well as professional. I have one and really like using it.

The 7336 also comes with some different accessories (which aren't really useful for car polishing), but otherwise it is the same as the 7424.

Use your regular combination of compound, poishes, and cleaners. Then for the final coat, use a product by carbrite. it used to be called sllek, but it was takesn of the market, now it is called foam pad glaze, it is pigmented black. for someone who has not had much experience, with a high speed, it is fairly easy to use. it is somewhat abrasive, that is why it is best on a high speed, with the softest foam pad.
