Zaino questions

I applied Zaino to my car for the first time last summer and I noticed that as fall/winter came around that the surface of the car started to feel a little bumpy. I did clay the whole car before I started the Zaino process and at that time it was quite smooth.

It's spring time now and I want to start cleaning my car. Now my question is can I just clay the car again to get rid of the bumps and get back that smooth feeling? If not what do I need to do?

Also I had a sticker on the hood of the car when I applied the Zaino last summer. It is no longer there. Do I start the Zaino process from scratch only in that area?

Thanks

Yes, it's a good idea to clay the entire car at least once a year or whenever you notice rough/gritty contamination that will not come off with a polish.

So, I'd suggest that you clay the car, tackle any deep swirls, then apply Z1 (or ZFX) + Z2 or Z5. The more coats of Z you add the greater the shine and protection.

:)

No need to Dawn wash since you already have Zaino applied. Wash with Z7 and clay. If you use a Z7 and water mixture as your lubricant for claying, just rinse and dry after claying then Z6 to get the surface ready for Z5/Z2.

Thanks guys, but what about the hood area that had the sticker on it? What should I do about that? It has never seen any Zaino yet.

Just clay that area if needed, then apply Z1 first followed by Z2 or Z5. If you're not using ZFX, Z1 is needed before you apply the polishes the first time...and it's a good idea to apply Z1 at least twice a year to the whole car.

I zainoed without claying my new truck last summer and now feel the bumps on the hood. Do I have to remove the Z before claying? Does claying remove the Z? Is it like starting over? :nixweiss

Thanks for helping out a newbie.

Yes, you can just clay again. You will remove some of the Zaino during that process, so its a good idea to wash with Z7 and throw on another coat of Z after claying.
