Winter and Poorboys

Dubbin1

I like Cheese
With winter coming fast I would like to get my 09' Malibu ready and would like to know if this would be a good way to go.

Poorboy's World Professional Polish

Poorboy's World EX Sealant with Carnauba or Poorboy's World EX-P Pure Sealant

Poorboy's World Natty’s Paste Wax – BLUE

I have read a lot of good reviews about Poorboy's products and would like to give them a try. Right now I have NXT 2.0 on it but it seems to last only a few weeks.

Thanks

Dwayne

I've never used it but Collinite gets a lot of praise here for it's durability so maybe you should go that route instead of the natty's. I think they are both around the same price.

I hear its a real pain to work with.

That's rather a general statement to throw at the word "Collinite". Many durable waxes are difficult to buff off if you use too much and/or leave it on too long. The "pure wax" Collinites, 845 and 476, can be put on trim and everything else. 845 is truly a pleasure to apply. NXT and especially EX-P will stain trim badly.

If you're just looking for someone to agree with you, then woo hoo, go for the EX/EX-P and Natty's. It'll be a great looking, slick combo, for a few weeks.

No, I'm not just looking for someone to agree with me and I have no idea where you got that from. All I was doing was stating what I have read... Dang dude, take a midol and relax.

I really like the Poorboy's look, but as mentioned, the durability is not for winter. Use the Pro Polish (if you want to use Poorboy's) to clean things up a bit and then use either Collinite 476 (paste) or 845 (liquid). 476 will be your best bet for max durability and as long as you apply very thin coats it is not hard to work with at all IME.

Some Harbor Freight stores carry it or order it here with free shipping:
