Why does everyone think poorboys is the best?

I dont understand everyone used to love zaino on dark colored cars like black. Are people just buying poorboys because its cheaper. :grinno: Anyone still think zaino is better?

Um...I think we're a pretty eclectic group here, and therefore I don't agree with your premise...I think we're all in search of the best product...the best product for a particular situation, which varies. Most of us use a variety of brands.

I use a variety but I'm appreciating Zaino and other sealants more and more. I think the Pinnacle waxes are very special as well. I like to cherry pick the best as Mike says above. Technology and performance continually evolve.

sometimes i find it hard trying different brands becasue you are soo used to one brands range, that you dont know what is the equivalent of the others brand...

I don't use PB's or Zaino. Am I missing out?

you might be :)

One great thing about poorboys(other than the great products they put out) is you can use them in direct sun. Might come in handy down there in Hawaii :usa

I'm always trying new stuff, and I actually JUST got around to ordering some PB's ssr 2.5 and 1. These will be my first PB's products, so we'll so how pleased I am.

I am a sucker for wanting to buy everything as well. I recently picked up some PB stuff that Spilchy had for sale but I haven't had a chance to try the stuff yet.

I will however admit that I haven't jumped on any of the Zaino bandwagon. For some reason when I see Zaino mentioned I don't pay attention to it rather put up a mental block. I guess there is only so much hype I can deal with and it got old seeing. Maybe I am missing out on something but probably not. No one has ever complained about the results I've given their vehicle with the products I use. This is nice too because Zaino is expensive ;)

lol. That is a damn good incentive.

And seeing how sunlight exposes the worst of defects... that makes it even more appealing. Gosh darn you LangMan!!! I thought I was done buying product for the year! :furious:

I have yet to use any PB's product. But as soon as my package from Patrick arrives, I'll have Natty's Blue in my lineup. I've been considering the SSR line, but see no need to replace Opt Polish/Compound.

I've almost cleared the whole PB's line out of my arsenal. I'll take the Z LSP's, QD and wash and enjoy them higher price and all.:)

ooptimum polish and compound is superior to pb's ssr's if you ask me. I have them all and use opti most.

I have Optimum, Menzerna and and HiTemp. All wonderful for me and I saw no need for more for now.

But I like the polishing in the sun idea.

I'm going to go out on a limb here but could it be that everyone has their own definition of what "the best" is?

Well put Scott. This is something so many people don't seem to understand when reading detailing forums.

I like Zaino, but messing around with other products, including Poorboy's, is fun. Zaino just seemed a bit restrictive to me. Plus I never liked dealing with those applicator bottles. I'd still use Z8 though.
