whats a product that is a touch stronger than dacp?

I'm starting to wonder about my bottle of Meg's #2. I tried it by hand/PC/Cyclo/and rotary on b/c and ss and it *really* scoured the surface, and I'm not talking about "micro"marring either...If i wasn't so happy with my PI-III and 1z products I'd probably look into this some more, but for now I've retired my #2 and I can't recommend it.

As BlkZ28conv said, it's all about first-hand experiences, which can differ from person to person.

And FWIW, Mike has posted some sorta contradictory advice about #2. That's not meant as a slam towards Mike, but hey, I've read the posts and he's not 100% consistent on this. Perhaps he's changed his opinions, nothing wrong with that.

01bluecls- If 1Z Ultra/Extra (or other 1z polishes) are hard to remove, I suspect using too much product or not working it long enough. Never been a problem for me either. Don't cofuse the wax it leaves behind with excess polishing oils ;)

Fine cut is rotary only???? Tell that to the 50+ cars that have been polished to a mirror finish by me, my PC, and my trusty bottle of fine cut...

For my money, there's not a better combo out there than a PC on 5.5, a yellow pad, and some fine cut. I've stopped using everything else...

Maybe Mike P will respond to this thread and explain why Megs suggests using #2 with the rotary only. If I remember correctly it was because the abrasives needed the heat of the rotary to break down properly. The PC can't produce the heat needed and as a result the abrasives will not break down properly and the finish will marr.
