What is your tire cleaning/dressing routine?

No tire salve - here. Just a little leftover QD

1. saturate entire tire, even tread with low-med mist move to wheel well move in to wheel face then caliper and inner wheel out of the sun if possible

2. apc/simple green 20.1 with fine mist sprayer to wheel well, tire face, wheel face, inner wheel, caliper real good

3. spoke brush, pre-wet w/water, scrub inner wheel, rinse brush immediately

4. face brush, pre-wet w/water, carefullly do wheel face, rinse brush immediately

5. tire brush, no pre-wet, just make sure the apc is still wet or re-apply around tire then just a quick once or twice over, until you can see the dirt lifted off and ready to be rinsed away, rinse brush immediately

(( I've just found it better to rinse the brushes BEFORE they dry ?? ))

6. rinse tire, wheel face, entire wheel, wheel face, tire with a ultra fine mist, turn up pressure as you go to low-med mist working your way out to the wheel well

7. 425/QD du jour moisten the center of a COSTO tossable mf, get the wheel face, spokes, if possible, inner wheel, caliper, nooks and crannies. Quick pass or two over the tire face, wipe down the wheel wells, pat down any water spots on painted areas.

that's it

optional steps

8. Polish/wax wheels, remove defect

9. Tire Dressing

Doing the 'tires' first lowers the ambient temp of the vehicle.

1. Rinse tires / wheel wells / rims

2. APC on tires/rims, let it sit on all 4, go to #1 tire to start #3

3. brush the tires, Dollar store brush, seperate wash mit for rims

4. hose off

5. dry rim, let tire dry alone

6. spray tire shine on sponge and work in tire (after car is fully detailed)

Ran out of cleaner yesterday so ran to Discount Autoparts and grabbed some of their own tire cleaner (suprisingly worked pretty well). Gave tires quick rinse, cleaner and sit for about a minute, aggitate, then hose off and dry. I just received my other order from AG and included NXT Insane Shine, sprayed it on last night. Looked good, but this morning WOW, damn tires look awsome with just one coating on my truck. Doesn't smear or anything, goes basically right where you spray. I'm so used to using gel's, and other srays, not anymore.

Didn't realize I could get it at most shops, over-the-counter or not, think I found my new tires shine :grinno:

Whats the difference between Megs hot shine and insane shine?
