Thank God, I was in withdrawal

Glad to see we are back up and running. Big thanks to DavidB and Prinz for all their hard work this weekend. You guys rock !!!!!! :2thumbs:

Well one good thing about Autopia beeing down is it gave me an excuse to actually detail my car instead of just reading about it :)

Good work guys!

I resorted to "modding" my rotary :shocked

I did a **** load of research for my new project car, and helped my uncle take apart/strip paint from his '70 Camaro.

Paul- LMAO.

I too spent the time actually *detailing* instead of *posting* about detailing :D

Awfully impressive, all the work that David andPrinzII accomplished :xyxthumbs

Speaking of that, I booked an exterior detail for a 1970 Camaro conv. in a rare color called Corvette Bronze.

Most of the last 3 days have been spent detailing my dad's van. Watch for it in the Extreme Detail forum. :)

Corvette bronze, eh?

My uncle's has a gold piece centered on the hood that might be that color. Uglier 'n sh*t, I must say. Thank God my Uncle and I are stripping this nasty *** color and getting it painted!

But I'm sure it looks much better on the car you're doing.

BTW- there wasn't a convertible made in 1970 that I've ever seen.

Well the owner said it was a 1970, and I saw the car yesterday. It had no roof, so I'm pretty sure it's a convertible. :)

Does it look like the first body style, or the second generation?

First generation:

Yes great to be up and running !!

Man I must say that Camaro is just gorgeous!!!:) Would love to one day have another.

Autopia being down gave me a chance to catch up up others things as well.....there was a big fiasco over at DC because someone posted a thread about Autopia being down, the "Fuzz" had to close it LOL

Anthony

I like the updated look! DC's new revisions have me not even going there anymore...it's way too confusing to check on new posts with the way they have it set up. I've always liked Autopia better, anyway!

While I wasn't banned by DC I was made uncomfortable by one of the major sellers there and don't post there anymore. I hit a couple other places but I come HERE to get my fix!!

GA...1st pic. You'll see pics of it soon. I was going to do it on Thursday morning, but since my blue Nattys is supposed to be here on Thursday, I'm thinking maybe I should wait so I can use it on the Camaro. It's looking like probably Monday morning will work best.

Thanks, guys. However, this is a long, winding road. There are still some things behind the scenes we have to fix (e.g. smilies).

However, this was the weekend of the computer for me. When I wasn't helping David, I was also.......

- Setting up my Dell Optiplex GX110 to run Windows 2003 Server (Practice box for MCSE and maybe a setup for me to do remote connections once I get a router).

- Fixing a friend's computer and almost having a coronary when I saw her laptop (busted screen)

- Experimenting with my PII 350. I took one of the 256 MB sticks out of the Dell and put it in the 350. No problems.

- Going to my first SQL Server Administration class last night

As for the poster who mentioned 3.5, I have seen that but I'd rather for it to be a more "stable" release than a beta to roll out to the community. Better safe than sorry.
