I have had very good luck with all of the Hi-Temp compounds, and since their products are so cheap I've decided to try out a few more. My Hi-Temp arsenal now includes:

COMPOUNDS

Extreme Cut

Heavy Cut

Medium Cut

Light Cut

POLISH/AIO

Paint Perfection Glaze

SEALANTS

Terminator

Poly Plate (Spray)

WAX

Bahama Mama Liquid Creme

MISC

Window Cleaner Concentrate

Best Dressed Vinyl/Rubber Dressing Concentrate

Extreme Clean APC

Spray n Shine Quick Detailer

This will be a brief review of some of the less known products, and I will also be testing the durability of the LSP's.

Test Vehicle: Pontiac Grand Am (sisters vehicle, a free detail, and my camera sucks so bare with me).

Process:

QEW

Light Cut on LC White Polishing Pad

Terminator Sealant on Driver Side

Poly Plate Sealant on Passenger Side

Optimum Tire Shine on Driver Side Tires

Best Dressed Cut 1:1 on Passenger Side

Ideally, the car really needed a Medium Cut polish, but I have never tried Light Cut on its own (I've only used it to remove micro-marring from Heavy Cut), so I wanted to see what it was capable of. Not bad, pretty stand swirl removing for a light cut product, plus it left a very nice finish:

Review:

Hi Temp Terminator Sealant (Driver Side)

Very thick. At first I kept spritzing a foam applicator with water, but instead I decided to add water directly to the sealant bottle. Came out much better. It was pretty easy to use and remove after watered down, I'd say a 7 out of 10 in the application department. Durability test to follow.

Hi Temp Poly Plate Sealant (Passenger Side)

This was originally a spray sealant, but the sprayer wasn't working too well so I applied it in the traditional manner. This is a sealant with cleaning abilities, probably similar to Optimum's Poli-(though I have never tried it). At the very least, as long as it is relatively durable it seems like a great one-step for the wheels. The sealant was very liquidy, and was a breeze to put on and remove, similar to AIO. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 as far as ease of use. Durability test to follow.

TOL Best Dressed Concentrate

This is a rather economical water based dressing. I used it on the interior of a detail last week at the ratio of 3:1 and it left a very matte, natural looking appearance. I liked it better than PB's Natural Look because it was easier to use and less oily in appearance (sorry no pics). I used it on the tires here at a ratio of 1:1, and I felt it looked exactly the same as the Optimum Tire Shine at full strength. Can't say much for the durability yet, but it seems like a good bargain because it can be used both inside and out, and is cheaper than the Optimum Tire Shine.

Hi-Temp Window Cleaner

I've been strictly using Stoner's Invisible Glass and haven't felt the need to try anything else as I love it. However, I was placing a large order through TOL and figured I would try their window cleaner for $7.95, which after properly diluted makes over 2 gallons. Can't beat that! Like Stoner's, it is also safe for tinted windows. As far as application, I really couldn't tell a difference between Stoner's and the Hi-Temp. Both left the glass very clear looking, cleaned up finger prints and minor water marks, and most importantly left a streak-free shine. I won't say it was any better than IG, but it wasn't any worse, and at the price I think I am going to stick with the Hi-Temp.

Either tomorrow or this weekend I'm going to do another family vehicle and test out Hi-Temp's Bahama Mama liquid wax. I'll probably compare it side by side with Collinite for looks, not durability. I also have to plug the Spray n Shine Quick Detailer. It leaves a very slick, glossy appearance, better than any OTC QD I've tried. It's also a great price, and can be used as a booster in between waxes.

Try applying the Terminator Sealant with the PC. It makes it much easier. The label should also suggest using the Spray N Shine Detailer to aide in removal. This should allow you to use the product as is, rather than adding water to it.

It definitely would have been easier to apply with the PC, but I wanted to do it by hand just to get a good feel for it. I also think it spreads a lot easier with the water added, and I don't think there will be any ill effects. I was going to use the Spray n Shine Detailer (which I think is great, BTW) to help remove it but I didn't do that to the Poly Plate side and I wanted a fair comparison. Thanks for the info though. How has Terminator held up for you?

Terminator has held up very well for me. At 4 months out, there was still significant slickness on both a daily driver and airplane I used it on. Neither had been "boosted" along the way. Last point, adding a second coat immediately following the first adds noticeable depth and wetness (although, not as wet as a carnauba). I think it even suggests a second coat on the bottle. Anyways, hope you continue to like the product.

Just tried Extreme Cut Leveler w/ a PC on my car last weekend. I gotta say I love this stuff. It breaks down very well and very noticably. I only had time to do my front fender and driver door tho. Overall, I was VERY impressed with the results with the PC, especaily for Audi paint.

Process:

HTEC via 4-in orange pad @ 6k opm

SSR1 via 4-in orange pad

At work we have HT Poly Plate that my boss ordered a couple of week ago. Hasnt really been used more than twice (both on pretty swirled paint) but Im kinda giving it a second thought on trying it on my own car after seeing those pics of it. Looks very nice! Ive yet to try a sealant however, so does this Poly Plate stuff look like a normal sealant should?

Nice write up and job on the car XH50.

I use EC as my go to.

I also love TOL Best Dressed. Diluted on a MF it is as good as PB's Natural Look.

I didn't review the MC or HC because they are used pretty frequently around here and they are my go to polishes for correction. I haven't even used my HTEC yet because I haven't found anything that the HC can't clear up. I definitely like the Hi-Temp line, and will get some other pics this weekend and further review some of their other products.

It won't remove swirls, just has light cleaning abilities so it would look best on prepped paint. As far as looking like a traditional sealant, I've only used it on this one red car but I think it looks a little wetter than most sealants, more of a sealant w/ carnauba look instead of a straight sealant. This is only on one car though, I will have to test more and get back. Also, the general curves and color of the Grand Am make it more prone to a wet look than crisp reflections. Just something to consider.

I can't get any Hi-Temp product in Europe :wall

I wrote them but I don't received any answer. :nixweiss

I guess it's all relative maesal. I had a German friend email Menzerna and they didn't bother answering him either, or me twice, why in the hell have an email address if they don't care about customers!

Treating the people like "AH" who use there products "WILL" come back to haunt them one day!:angry

Changeling

Yes Changeling, I think a quick answer like: sorry, we cannot sell our products to Europe... or we are not interested on selling just 2 bottles... will explain the situation.

I was busy with schoolwork so I didn't get a chance to try some more Hi-temp products yet. However, I did do an interior detail and once again used the hi-temp window cleaner and TOL Best Dressed.

The window cleaner worked very well again, no streaks. This should replace my need for Invisible Glass.

I used Best Dressed cut 3:1 on the interior plastics/vinyls. This left a very matte finish, to the point that you could hardly tell there was a dressing on the interior. It just looked clean. This is the look that I am going for. Also, I used Best Dressed on my girlfriend's interior two weeks ago and it still looks good. I am not positive, but it seems to attract dust much less than some of the other dressings, and less than a clean, untopped dashboard. I will have to do more testing so see if this point is valid, but I like it so far, and it is very economical.

I think I will have to wait until next weekend to try the Bahama Mama liquid wax. I'll also keep you updated on the durability of the two hi-temp sealants.

Well it's been a month and both the Terminator Sealant and the Poly Spray Sealant are holding up well. The Terminator might have a slight edge in slickness, but can't tell for sure. Both have lost their original high slick finish, but still slick enough to know there is definitely protection. Water beads nicely on both, and still looks good. Here are some shots with a new camera that I took today, one month later. I need some photography lessons. It looks really good in person, these are the only two shots that actually look decent:
