Surf City Clearly Better Glass Cleaner - Mini Review

Try Excel Detail. You will get better service.

I may be missing it but I can't find it on the site under the Surf City products. I see plenty of SC products, but no glass cleaner. darn

agreed, dont say anything unless you have something constructive to add.

my parents car has streaks all on the inside of the car windshield, I've tried everything I can think of....I might have to step up to stoners ig

anyone have any experiece with using a home made varity of window cleaner like 4 drops of dawn and 4 cap fulls of denatured alcohol? how does that work?

I’m a fan of the Stoners, but I’ll try anything that gets several good endorsements after a post like that. But I’ve a question to you all – have you ever noticed some glass cleaners seem to attract a ‘haze’ several days after application. It’s not a haze you can see in daylight, but that time of day when it’s almost time to put the headlights on and the light catches the windshield or window just right and you wonder if you forgot to clean the inside windows of the car. You touch the glass and there is an ever-so-slight haze on it.

If you know what I’m talking about, please tell me the longevity of the cleaning. For me, a little more effort with Stoners but a longer time between cleanings is the winner.

Please write back with answers if you know what I’m talking about.

Thank you.

I just happen to not like SC Glass cleaner, no biggie?

No need to get all knotted up.. simply meant there is always going to be someone who's opinion differs.. no harm meant

As I said in my 1st post when I started this thread, SIG WAS my go to so I can understand your appreciation for that product

never tried SC but i picked up some (I think) "Hopes Best". Read some reviews and got some at Lowes. Black bottle, 32 oz, under $5. I like it better than IG. This one is a liquid. I usually prefer a foam but this might be my new glass cleaner.

Check it out.

Thanks for the info!!

Thanks for the pointer. I have seen it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond too along with marble cleaners.

I really love Duragloss Rain Repel, but I've heard so many people talk about SC glass cleaner lately that I might have to try it.

DG 751 is awesome stuff and it's durability is just plain silly. However, you do need to buff it off which can be a pain. I only use it on the outside of windows.

I have also used DG 505 and it actually seems to clean windows well when IG did not especially for water spots.
