Here's what i've been doing as a total detail, but i'm curious about some new products. Please tell me if the following would benefit me, and how I can use them:



Menzerna IP

Menzerna FP

PUPP

#20



Here's my current procedure



wash

clay

3M FI fine cut

AIO

SG



Then I'll wash and SG it once a week until I get bored and decide to start over...



Occasionally, I add a coat of S100, just for kicks, and love every second of it..



The car is a 96 MX-5, and is black. Here is a pic as she stands with the current process:

Looks and sounds good to me. I posted in another thread about that being my spring detailing job almost to the tee. Wash, Clay, Menzerna FP (with a porter cable), Klasse AIO, SGx3, Souveran topper, and Crystal Mist. S100 sounds great too... From the pics of your car it doesn't look like you need the Menzerna IP, but only you would know for sure. You should definetely try the FP though if you have a porter cable. Haven't tried the other ones on your first list, so I can't comment on them. Car looks good.:xyxthumbs

I don't think that PUPP and #20 will give you anything you aren't getting from the Klasses. They'll be great, but AIO/SG is great, too. I'd say only if you find the Klasses hard to use (I don't, and it looks like you don't either), then switch.



The IP is for correcting swirls. Once a year. I'm not sure how it compares to 3M FI fine cut, I haven't used that. It's not as strong as DACP; it's not as agressive at start, and it breaks down faster, in my experience.



I think you'll find a place for the FP, right before the AIO. This is one damn fine product. It makes the paint look all glassy and watery, without fillers.



I don't hide that I love Meguiar's polishes and waxes, but I still prefer the ease of use of the Menzernas. I feel very confident using them, and I think that they are easier to use with the PC than the Meg's polishes. I'd get them, and see if you think they do a better job than the 3M. I can spring you a couple ounces of #20 if you're going to the CarBQ, so you can experiment with it, and see how you think it looks.

From what I have read, you should be using #20 before PUPP (without the cleaner of course) because #20 is supposed to have some light cleaners in it....
