Pointless to apply glaze after polishing?

Just wondering if its pointless to apply a glaze such as Menzerna's after I polished with final polish II or If I should just go straight to a wax? All of the descriptions I see are such that indicate a polish is a glaze, yet I see differences in product descriptions, so whats the deal?

A true polish is not a glaze. A true polish is simply small abrasives in a liquid carrier that lubricates while the abrasives break down and do there work.

So go ahead and use a glaze after you polish then top it with your favorite wax. A glaze will make the paint look richer and then seal that look in with the wax.

A polish isn't neccessarily a glaze , but a glaze IS a form

of polish...usually with little or no abrasives and generally

containing fillers.

Glaze can be used for different reasons. I sometimes use it

to give a little extra depth or even-ness (?) before LSP if

I'm not completely satisfied with the looks of the final polishing step.

You can also use it to help cover up or "fill" any remaining flaws

in the paint that may be too minimal to warrant another polishing step.

Yet still , if you're working on very soft paint, the proper glaze can

be used to finish down the paint where a more abrasive polish

would leave behind some marring.

If you're happy with what you've achieved after polishing and don't

see the need for any more , then , by all means , go to LSP.

Personally, I don't feel it ever hurts to use a glaze as long as you're

not trying to cover up crappy work.

of the varieties of polishes and processes involved.

OR , you could use the search function.
