Pinnacle Souveran vrs P21S Carnauba Wax

Ohhhh... all these dark cars in the shade and low light... How do you get them to reflect so well? lol

Souveran definitely has the edge on dark cars. I don't think it has an edge in the dust department though. It will collect more dust than P21S will. The oils that make it look so good are also the thing that cause the most problem. Nobody ever had beauty without sacrifice though... ;)

Anthony-is this better? ;)

Much better. ;) Dark cars in the shade are my pet peeve. I'm sure they look great in the sun too, but the low light shots tell me absolutely nothing about the product. I want to see those suckers shine on their own merits without the aid of brightly lit objects being reflected on dark surfaces, ya know?

I know what you mean but the sun can also wash out the true appearance of the paint and also makes it hard to capture on film how wet the paint really looks.

Good thing is that Souveran and other carnaubas (and yes, Wolfgang) make black paint look really dark and deep in the direct sun.

I'm 'rehabbing' a red 91 Miata. I've done Klasse Twins (3xSG) and two coats of Pinnacle Souveran, over a two week period. Really amazing, and I wax cars all day, every day.

Having said that, I had MY black 92 Miata out today for the first time in two months... it has a substantial amount of the Klasse Twins... I washed and applied P21S. Just as stunning , and right next to the red car.

Maybe it is my eye, maybe the lighting, maybe the ??? The red 'pops' more.

But the black is delicious

Just the way I see it.

And what wax for metallic black, P21S, CMW or Collinite 845IW?

I read that CMW is not very good in metallic paints...
