Okay, this is the best product I've ever used...

If you were only getting one bottle to do two cars then you were over using it, I used maybe 1/8th of a bottle to do my entire car, a larger car than a Saturn.

Well, then. Uh. I guess I can verify that you still get good results if you glop it. :D

Is this supposed to be a substitute for regular waxes and sealants, or is it more like a detailer with carnuba in it?

That Lackfinish stuff also sounds interesting.

I don't see it at all as a replacement for regular waxes and sealants, more like a kind of booster product, a replacement for QDing after a wash.

BW- I just paid $6.50 for the big bottle at Adavnce, must join Costco....must join Costco...thanks ;)

:bow :bow WAUD

Now I don't care that I lost my CFWB :D

Spray a bit on the wet car, wipe it down with a smallish cotton towel, get most of water off with that by wringing it out. Then go over with the loop side of my Walmart blue MF. Only one swipe anywhere and it is PERFECT!

Smells good too.:bounce

I just tried it as a QD and was dissapointed, kinda greasy left kind of a greasy shine. IMHO it needs the car wet to work well.

You are correct. I called eagle one and talked to a rep about this. I asked if this could be used on a dry surface as a qd. He said that it's best to use on a wet surface and use eagle one wipe n shine for the qd.

Thanks for figuring that one out because the instructions do say for wet or dry use if I'm not mistaken. I just tried it last night wet, and it seemed to work well. Left that slick feeling I like so much. Couldn't see the fruits of my labor in sunlight as it rained right before I left for the office.

The bottle says for up to 21 uses, but I think I used enough last night to do 3 cars.

Yeah the bottle does say that but I won't do it again. Not bad, just not great. Its GREAT on a wet car though.

I've washed 3-4 cars with it now ( and really like it, its a great product. Try and use very little, just mist each panel with it and it'll go farther.

It even cleans off black trim too and leaves it even, matte, and clean. Great stuff!

Hmmm...I have never had any problem using on a dry surface, i actually thought i was on to something when i tried it as a QD....Then i read the label and it said you could use it on a dry surface....duh....

Ok, my take on using it on a wet surface.....So if the better of the twooptions is to use it on a wet surface... Why dont we just dilute it ? Lets face it, thats basically all the water beads are doing anyway. You spray it on the wet surface, and wipe with a mf, the water and WUAD interact, product dilutes...No magic here gentlemen....Im with others here considering diluting it and trying as a QD......Heck of a lot cheaper than QS.....Specially if you dilute maybe 5:1...

WAUD twins ? One for inbetweens, and one for a booster ??

:xyxthumbs You could get more out of one bottle using it dry! :) :D

I just bought the big bottle, I'll try dilluting some of it.

Its not that I had PROBLEMS using it dry, it worked fine no smearing etc the results just didnt seem as good as on a wet car. It was also incredibly hot, around 95 and humid as hell so that might have had something to do with it. Of course we went out to dinner afterwards and the car looked great so who knows... :nixweiss

Based on this topic, I went out and bought WAUD last night at WalMart...

WOW! Super slick. I used it on a clean, but completely dry car over NUMEROUS layers of Zaino. No streaking. I am impressed.

This stuff goes in my arsenal for sure.

Definetly one of the better EO products, Im on my way to Costco tomorrow.....I think i spent about $6.00 for the larger bottle last time....Even at that price it was well worth it....

Yeah, I bet if you wanted to use it on a dry car you could dilute it with 10 parts water or something. (10 parts is my guess based on me only useing two sqirts on a fully beaded hood, and it working great!) Then you could have a big dilluted bottle that you could use liberally on a dry car (basically make the surface wet with it) and then the normal stuff for a wet car.

 so awsome when products meet and exceed their claims.

BTW how is the EO QD? any good?

For those or any of you that have used both Meguiar's Final Detail and EO Wax As You Dry which do you like better?

I know that they are different type products but I find I can spray Final Detail on a slightly wet car and get very good results too.

I've always used WAUD as my QD nowadays since it's cheaper, slicker and deeper than most QD's around... I dilute it 50/50 with distilled water.

When using it on a beater car (never waxed, but decent paint), use it dry, you'll be surprised on how fast it provides a slick, glossy surface.

Kinda reminds me of the "WAX" setting on your drive through car washes hehe.

Love the stuff.

For those of you who use this wet, do you still use the sheeting method prior to spraying it on the vehicle?
