Need Some Help

Went out to try my 2005 BMW 525i again today, she is swirled from the dealer pretty well, and has been since new. My regimen was Menzerna IP x 1 on the hood with a Edge Blue pad at 1500rpm, then I went over with FPII on a white finishing pad at 1500RPM, the swirls where diminished, but still very present. I stopped at the hood, with so much paint left it looked like the end of the road wasn't there. It took me a good 45 minutes to do the hood; to do the rest of the car with not perfect results would be a waste of time.

Any suggestions for me? I am going on vacation, but when I get back, I will try again. I can't live with the swirls. BMW paint is a pain in the ass, but it is doable.

Maybe if they are really bad you could give powergloss a shot. Its sounds very harsh to use on a new bmw but if nothing else is giving you results then something new will need to be tried. I woudl try however making multiple passes with the IP. Work it until you dont see swirls.

Thanks, I will need to start earlier next time. It will probley take me 5-6 hours to bull out the whole car. I can't believe the dealer, when I bought it last winter, prior to me buying it off the lot would take it thru a autowash out back. They had Sl65's ($180,000) and Maybach ($300,000) going thru the autowash.
