My first Paying detail!

Tormmorow I have my first paying detail! Ill be detailing full exterior and light interior on a 2001 or 02 Black Toyota Land Crusier. I estimated 6-7 hrs. I am no stranger to black as My mustang is black as well!

Any last min tips? I am packed to the max with products I think I now have 1 or 2 of everything that Poorboys sells! Plus the order that will be coming today from PAC!
 
Here is what my plan of attack is going to be for the exterior!

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. SSR 2.5
4. PP
5. EX-P

am i doing to much ... or not enough? can I top e-xp with nattys right away? or is it not worth it?
 
It'd substitute Pro Polish and EX-P for SSR1 or Polish with Carnauba and EX. It will look wetter on black. I wouldn't top it with Natty wax though. See how it looks after the EX.

Bring your ladder!
My wife has a Landcruiser and it's tall.
I'm 6'3" and I stand on the running boards and have to stretch to reach the center.
It's also a pain in the a$$ working on the roof around the rack and brackets.
I've often thought of removing them to detail, but haven't.
Maybe the newer ones are different.
 
Scott you have a good point I think that is exactly what I will do... Thats exactly the products I use on my mustang however being that I got some new products in I thought I would give them a try.

gnev8 The ladder is a very good point .... and thankfully She is bringing her truck to my house because my ladder doesn't exactly fit in the mustang!
 
Well I just finnished the Land Cruiser. Unfortunatly I forgot to take pictures! But Now I know why I typicly only detail my car!

The Truck had White over spray ALL over from front to back. Being that she only wanted a baisc detail I stuck to my original plan of attack for the most part except that I made 2 passes with SSR 2.5 then 1 pass with SSR1 and 1 pass with PWC and sealed the package with EX. Man thats a lot of truck!!!!! I guess thats another reason why I don't mind detailing my car ....its a walk in the park compared to that thing. The interior was a mess the woman has 2 great dains that she takes EVERYWHERE in the truck!! dog hair everywhere .... I did my best at vaccuming it out!

In the end it didn't turn out too bad far from my standards of "looking great" but the owner was extreamly happy!

I guess in the end thats all that matters!

I think ill go and collapse somewhere now!
 
way to go man . Once she tells her friends and neighbors about you , you'll be swamped. Make sure you're charging market price for your services. I made that mistake early on.
