I looked at several cars, a jetta, caravan, honda and a caddy while walking at lunch today, all silver metallic and no sign of orange peel in any of them. Is this something peculliar to silver? or was this unusual?
The orange peel is there, it is just difficult to see. One nice thing about light colors is that from a distance, they can appear to be perfect. Once you get up close and personal, you realize the paint is of typical quality with orange peel.
Hmmmm....both my 2000 VehiCROSS in Kaiser Silver, and my 2005 Chrysler 300C in Bright Silver Metallic, are without any trace of orange peel anywhere. Perhaps I've been smiled upon by the auto paint gods?
