Meg's endurance question, what is the black

I've been using Meg's endurance for awhile now and it does last longer than those spray-ons. When removing the tire and wheel now I get lots of black on my hands from the dressed part of the tire, what is that and why? I usually just reapply at wash time without scrubbing the old stuff off.

Well that's why. Clean and scrub your tires when you wash.
