I'm giving up on waxes

I prefer the gloss sealants provide to my neutral color (gold) truck.

Besides ... I'm getting old and lazy. Will give the truck a good cleaning twice a year with AIO and then monthly applications of KSG or JWAJ along with Sonus Acrylic Spritz QD maintenance.

I'm also liking sealants alot better, especially AJ. I still have some paste's and liquid's lying around though. Don't give up on them yet.

Well that Duragloss Aquawax looks tempting.

No, No, No ... I'm sticking to sealants this summer! :chuckle:

Me too, brotha, I haven't the time for weekly/monthly waxing. I'm not dissing "carnauba products, but it just doesn't fit my lifestyle at the moment.

Klasse, Werkstatt or Zaino are the answers you seek.

lol! you're gonna have to change your sig line. :chuckle:

personally, i hated using carnuba's because i'm lazy. They look great, but getting off my *** to wax a car by hand every couple weeks...no thanks.

Then i found collinite and everything changed.

My new technique personifies the epitome of laziness.

I slap the sealant on (KSG or JWAJ) waaaaaaaay to thick. After a moderate buff off pass If any product remains I whip out the Sonus QD and it comes off easy.

I know this isn't the best method for curing, but I figure with monthly applications I'm getting enough coverage.

Me too. And not only that, I'm pretty much switching to a one step cleaner/wax(sealant) -- Meguiars ColorX. It looks as good as anything else that I've used on my daily driver black Hemi. I've been applying it every six to eight weeks. it takes only about an hour to do the whole truck -- applied with a pc, removed by hand with a microfiber polishing cloth.

Menzerna's Arcylic Jacket is suppose to be very nice. I bought the Hand Kit, but have not got to use it yet.

On your color, I'd have to agree-sealants are really the way to go both for looks and durability. On solid black or red, I'll still go with carnaubas.

OCW is a great way to refresh sealants and get some carnuaba glow on all colors, FWIW.

Great idea, I have a sample bottle of it. Hopefully, it will look great over the AJ.

I like applying FK1 Pink by Cyclo, it gives a good blend of sealant and carnuba looks. Easy to buff off too, long lasting. Almost seems like it's more sealant than 'nuba sometime.

But thats about as close as I come to most sealants, I'm really a carnuba guy at heart. I don't think my EX-P or EX have left their bottles in over a year, my bottle of UPP has been used about twice and the DP PPS I got for free maybe has half a use out of it. FK2180 is the only sealant that I've used more than once or twice and liked.

Have you used Aquawax?
