G35 Exterior Detail

Better take a look at BMW's brake dusted wheels!! :shocked

The G35's had some rotor problems to begin with which also leads to more break dust. IF your GF has the optional Brembos than dusting is inevitable!! I can tell when my acura is starting to have brake problems is when the brake dust level gets excessive beyond its normal levels.

Other than that, the G35 Coupe is just plain HAWT!

FYI, Brembo brakes are no longer offered in 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupes. That's a shame, since the Brembo system is awesome in my 2003 Nissan 350Z Track.

PS: why are you learning to drive MT?

after this car I will never buy another MT car. Waste of time.

You sir are quite possibly... insane. Knowing how to drive a manual transmission is a skill almost everyone should have.

And how could you possibly prefer a slushbox?

Very nice work :D The car looks great.

I would have also done more work for less money for some lessons on the manual. I cant wait to own a standard vehicle. I realize that it can be more work at times, but I would go on the side of it being fun.

But yeah, there will probably be situations in life where its beneficial to know how to drive manual.

nice detail....its good that you are learning manual because wheter or not you drive one daily, one day you might want a car that is only offered in manual..

Excellent detail, even more so considering it was spur of the moment.

I find it interesting reading about you guy's transmission choices. In the UK it's almost the complete opposite with most people always taking the manual over the auto - something to do with feeling more connected to the car I think. Also, if you pass your driving test in an auto, you can't legally drive a manual on the road, you have to drive autos, hence most people learn in a manual from day one so they have the capability to choose later on in life!

My favourite transmission was the SMG in my CSL - that's the best of both worlds. Quicker shifts than an auto or regular manual but with no clutch to depress and no missed gears ever again!

Absolutely AMAZING!

Love the color, love the car, and... LOVE the detail. I really couldn't ask for anymore here :).

That looks great Greg! Was it fun to do a car other than your own?

Sounds like you've been visiting iwishihadag35guy.com again, LOL.

I finally had the chance to do my car yesterday with AIO + the new EX-P; I will post some pics tonight.

Todd,

Hehe, yes, it was nice to do a car other than my own (need to do my parents' cars again though) and it made me realize how "detail friendly" the Solara is. The G35 has quite a few tight spaces and the rear spoiler tends to catch water on top of the trunk (maybe 1/32" spacing).

As for G35Guy, I read a few threads about once a week. Sometimes there is an informative thread but overall, the people have not changed. ;)

Oh, BTW, the car had more orange peel than mine. :D
