First detail on my porsche!

Well picked this up about two weeks ago now. Was actually pleased with the condition I got it in, thought a detailer had actually prep'd it. The car seemingly zymol'd according to the dealer.

Anyway my steps were ....

Pre - soak with gilmour and hyper wash, 50ml in the gilmour.

The car is washed with four wash mitts, two for the lower, two for the top.

The buckets used were chemical guys with 60ml of hyper in them

Dried using the sonus drying towels (best on the market easy)

It had previously been glazed by myself last week so I applied Menzerna FMJ, a product I first heard GSRSTILEZ from autopia use, it seemed to be the in product and I still always use that on my blue cars.

It was wiped off with a sonus buffing cloth, again the best I have used. Used cobra, poorboys, zymol, pakshak and found sonus did not leave any marring and had a better "cut" for removing wax etc.

The FMJ was followed by Menzernas Acrylic Jacket, this is sprayed onto the MF and wiped on to the panel then buffed off.

The car is kept in the garage most of the time and I normally do top the protection up at least monthly so longevity isn't a big deal. I was happy I cracked open the FMJ again, I just can't believe how slick it is. Hopefully when I get my chemical guys anti static spray that will make this sealant even better.

Well onto the pics

Thank you very much for all your positive comments ! The colour really drew me to the car.

I have just purchsed some victoria concours and zymol glasur so ill post up pics and see what you guys think. Ill update this topic once I get the stuff through!

quick update. few beading shots and just Glasur'd the left side of her.

Basically went to the loch for the weekend, it poured sometimes and not so much other times.

I then did 50% of the car with Glasur, the other side is done with Victoria Concours.

I would say the Victoria Concours is more of a mirror shine, the glasur is more glossy. Glasur feels more butter soft than Victoria, Glasur drains water quicker. So quite mixed.

Lol thanks guys! Very happy with the car just now, just Zymol'd the whole lot last night. The Zymol really sheets the water off so should be good for the rain that we are getting just now.

JJ - Do you label your four mitts as to which is for the bottom and tops of the car and always use them as such>? Would it be OK to just clean them good after each wash>?

Beautiful. Its really hard to tell with the pics. It sounds like the Vic Concours is really taking it to the Glasur. Nice little contest going on there. What about some longer range sun and limited lighting views??? Keep us updated!

Sweet Ride JJ..Very very nice detail.

Difficult to get some good pictures in Glasgow just now because of all the rain we are having.

A fellow weedgie ;-)

Looks like you used the same floor paint in your garage as mine, the tyres have lifted some of the paint off the floor.. mine is flaking all over the shop.

BMW 335i - The two lower mitts are eurow wash mitts the top two are non labelled, just luck of the draw. Im not too sure about washing them, I just use a strong soap solution and rinse to get rid of any dirt on them.

lbls - Its very difficult to tell with the low light pics, we are struggling for sun just now, well sturggling to get the sun when im near the car, but I will keep the thread going to let you guys know how the vic holds up.

thanks white lexus! ;)

dubbedup thanks alot man! yeah the rain is murder polis lol that garage floor paint is a nightmare just now, especially as the tyres are hotter than the 330 bmw i had before.
