What does everyone think about this product? I am trying to choose a car wash shampoo. The CG citrus wash seems to be too harm and may strip off LSP if used improperly. Alot of people seem to like Meguires gold class. I am looking for one of the best. I know everyone has there own opinions.
 
I guess you solved your thread-starting problem. I find GC to streak a lot/easily if it starts to dry on the car (although my recent washing with soft water has helped that, apparently). The DG wash is good, it's a little harder to get for me and it's a bit more expensive.
 
I am not using a foam gun either, so i guess it does not matter. Duragloss seems to be getting alot of good feedback.
 
I have both the CG Citrus Wash n' Gloss and DG's CWC and I use each for different purposes. I use CG at paint cleanser strength (2 oz to 1 gal) when I'll be polishing or applying a new layer of wax or spray wax as it's a pretty strong wash. At it's normal wash dilution (1/2 oz to 1 gal), it's just ok. For regular washes I much prefer DG's soap. It suds quite a bit and provides a lot of lubricity. I hesitated purchasing DG's soap for awhile as I really was not sure if the DG soap was worth the premium price, but once I used it back to back against other soaps, for me it is totally worth the money.



If I had to pick one it would be DG. You can possibly find a Carquest near you and order a gallon from them. Or order a gallon from their website and only pay $5 shipping. CG on the other hand has quality control issues. I have 2 gallons of Citrus Wash n' Gloss and both are clearly different. IMO Chemical Guys is overrated with mediocre products. If you want good bulk pricing for products that work as advertised, go with any other bulk manufacturer such as Meguiar's Detailer Line.
 
DG 901 is my go to and I've had quite a few soaps, even my PB SSS didn't get reordered after trying it. 901 is slick, suds like crazy even in a bucket, and mild cleaning (will not harm lsp), seems to have some type of acrylic/protection in it or something as it seems to give a lil extra shine compared to other washes.
 
where can you buy duragloss online at carquest? I cant find it. There is a store locally that I never knew about. Do you think they have the gallon jug there? Well maybe i should buy the 16oz first to try it out, since its not that expensive.
 
Oh nevermind i found it on duragloss website. I thought you meant carquest. Yup its $4.95 for shipping. I will call local carquest first maybe to pick up.

I got the 16 oz bottle first but if I could do it again I wish I would have just gotten it in a gallon (eventually I did). It's really good stuff. CarQuest should have the small 16 oz bottle for $5 or less. Unfortunately their stock often tends to be quite old, as I have seen some of the DG CWC turn to an orange color. It should be a deep red/cherry color.
 
I've purchased 2 gallons at a Carquest locally and on one vist the guy charged around $20. On my second visit, a different person only charged a little over $18. I like the fact the website only charges $4.95 for shipping, but the price I get it for locally can't be beat. Anyone get it cheaper than $18/gal?

I was going to mention that the guy who offered to order it for me at CarQuest quoted me a price of $19.XX, but I wasn't sure if he misquoted me or if it was some kind of deal they had going on.
 
some will, some won't. More likely it's the latter. I was curious one time about CarQuest and with my navigation I set about finding local SoCal CarQuests. Be aware that they do not operate on normal retail hours that you're used to at AutoZone or Kragen's. They can be somewhat hard to find also. Instead of driving around like I did and wasting gas, just have the clerk order it from their warehouse for you. Or just order it from the DG website itself and have the peace of mind that you're more likely to get fresher product stock than anything you'd get from CQ.
 
How will i know if the stuff is orange, i will already have bought it. does it have a expiration date on it? I should just buy the gallon.
 
In both the gallon and the 16 oz bottle, it's a clear plastic so you can see clearly see what color it is. I don't recall seeing an expiration date or anything.

I called a few of them and none carry the gallon size. 1 place didnt even know what duragloss was and didnt carry it supposely the other one only carried the little bottle. I asked if I could order it, i guess he checked the computer he said he has got nothing. I dont know i guess i could order the gallon off the website, since $4.99 shipping, but I havent really tried the product out, but for the feedback on it, i dont think im wasting my money on a gallon. It will last me awhile.
 
DG shampoo is excellent, probably the best out there. Z7 runs close, failing either of those avalible get Mothers Caligold. A better cleaner, lubier, nice to use, better pricing then Gold Class.
