detailing white lincoln ls...what should i use?

well i was out detailing my moms lexus and one of my neighbors saw me and asked if i could do his and i was like sure. he said he would give me 100 dollars to put a coat or two of wax on it, detail his wheels and tires ,clean and condition leather and clean his dash. so i was like ok but here is the problem. i have never detailed a white car before and i know they dont shine as much as say black. he said wax but all i use are polishes and sealants. i have zaino and some megs polish and i think some caranuba wax. so what should i use? i am doing it tomorrow so i can only go down and get some local stuff and it most likely will have to be megs. what do you recomend for the best shine on a white car? thanks.
 
use nxt if you want to use something different and you can get it at walmart, target. You can top it with caranuba. It will look good in person. Do clay it first and use a polish to do it right though.

yea id clay it but im only working in about a 2-3 hour time frame and i would have charged him more to clay it so im thinking of putting a coat of polish, then nxt and then caranuba. its a rather new car so i think i can get away without claying but i just want it to look good because i think 100 bucks is a pretty good deal for just those things. anyone else know how nxt looks on white? i think im going to go get some nxt.
 
after reading the reviews, it looked like it was good on dark colors but not so good on lighter colors? any other options i should try?

I used to use NXT on my car, and I was pretty impressed with the reflections I got. I have a picture of a fresh snowbank reflected through my white paint! I might have to dig up that picture.
 
allright that looks good....i can get nxt and 18 but my 80 is still in the mail....any substitutes i can get at my local stores?
 
nope im actually using zaino wash and i love it but i love megs products....i checked pepboys and kragen and i got the nxt wax but i couldnt find the #16 caranuba, anyplace local that carries it or do i have to order?
 
checked all the stores and they dont carry 16 or 26. i looked in my garage and i found some megs deep crystal polish and deep crystal caranuba wax. would these work with nxt in between? also i could get ahold of some megs gold wax but i dont think thats much better?
 
hey what do ya know, i found some #26 yellow wax at a different kragen. i plan to zaino wash it and then deep crystal polish followed by nxt wax and then #26. will try to post before and after pics of just these products on it.
 
Sounds like you got your stuff already but just thought I'd recommend S100 SEC polish and wax available at Harley dealers, $24 for the pair. Easier to use, provides an outstanding shine and lasts a little longer than #26 IMHO. And since it's only two steps you might have time to clay. Good luck.
