Collinite 476 vs 915

Yeah, sorry wasn't more clear about that.

bluemoon- The 476S/#16 comparison worked the other way on my wife's silver Audi; the 476S was a real step down compared to how it looks with #16, we were both surprised. This last winter I stuck with #16 on that one, just because it looked so much better. Guess different applications just turn out differently!

Then, for you #16 has better looking than Collinite, hasnt'it?

What colour is the Audi's wife?

Thanks !!

I've not used my #16 since I retired my frost white acura, but I used to apply layers of it over nxt as my standard. also used it on the gunmetal gray jeep and it was good to go by itself.

I think the suggestion here is to go with collinite instead of #16 underneath since you're topping it with natty's, and I agree. last weekend I topped 845iw with natty's on nighthawk black pearl, and the finish is way deeper than my winter combination of 476s topped with 845iw.

I was thinking of trying the same with the jeep this afternoon or tomorrow, but now that you mention it maybe I'll try 476s topped with natty's instead.

Accumulator I would trust your judgement in the looks department more than mine (that's I why I wrote "to my eyes"). My optometrist for years has been telling me that in time I will need to go on eyedrops for Glaucoma. After this weeks tests, it looks like that time is right around the corner. :(

I am just glad that I have both 476S and #16. To me #16 applies a little easier, but both wipe off easily when applied thinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. So I use #16 alot in the spring, summer and early fall, but when late fall comes I will be using 476S because it lasts more than twice as long for me. :)

Her Audi is silver, just like mine. This makes it easy to compare LSPs.

I have plans to use my 476S on a few of our other cars ;) I suspect that with good prep and no comparisons to anything else it'll look just great, sure did on the Volvo wagon (new owner uses 845 on it).

bluemoon- Hope your vision issues work out OK!

Our having had, uhm [counting...], oh I dunno, maybe 8-10 silver Audis my wife and I are both pretty sensitive to how they look to us. She *still* remembers how great Souveran looked to her on her '94 S4 and that was a long time ago. I got tired of applying it all the time and switched, which she wasn't too thrilled about :o

Yeah, thin is the way to go. On with PC/Cyclo, off with PC/Cyclo (using MF bonnets). Quick follow up with a CBT, it's all quick and easy.

Ok, then could you upload photos when yo apply the process?

Thanks !!

I would suggest #845. Almost as durable as 476/915, easier to apply and remove and better looking in my eyes. :up

yeah I didn't get to the process mentioned, so no photos. somehow forgot just how neglected the jeep's been through the winter, and became fixated clearing up all the plastic trim. again. I just applied a layer of 845iw to cover until next weekend.
