Clearkote VM vs. Optimum Polish

Will Clearkote VM or RMG polish out minor micromarring caused by OC/org pad? As compared to Optimum Polish?

I have not used Optimum so I can't compare them

but VM will remove miromarring



VM & RMG both have oils some people have problems with a sealant on top of them

Thanks Jim. I had read that VM does do ok with removing micromarring, but wanted to make sure. I do plan on only topping the VM/RM duo with only CMW, so hopefully that will work well for me.

Optimum polish is more aggressive but finishes almost as nicely as Vanilla Moose so either would work fine. Use a polishing pad with VM to remove micromarring.

Seriously? I would never even think to use VM for any type of "polishing".....A little addition to depth, or for a quick show but thats about it. Truthfully, i dont even remember the last time I used VM......

I use it for very light polishing or to remove micromarring. He is talking about using one or the other to remove micromarring, not for deep polishing.

Correct, something like:



OC/white pad

VM/white pad

RM/Gray

CMW/foam by hand

I always like to follow IP with VM, it gives a very deep and wet look to the car.
