Brass pin or dial foam gun?

Anyone, who has experience with them; what is the practical difference between the two versions?

The pin version is more heavy duty of the two

I'm mildly curious as to functional differences between the two. As best I can tell there's a slight difference in how the solution would be brought into the stream of water (horizontal vs. vertical by the looks of it IIRC and I might *not* be recalling correctly). Dunno if it'll make for a *functional* difference anyway though...
