Great job. Looks like the dealer wash crew was taking huge brushes to the paint.

Thanks Mark! To me, it looks like they just took a dry and dirty towel and wiped it down. Those swipes were huge.

My client bought and picked up the car at night and didn't see the damage until the following day.

He told me that he couldn't stand looking at the swirls but I had no idea it was that bad.

Very nice! Amazing that a dealership would let something like that out the door.

The owner told me that it was the last day of the month when he bought the car and that maybe the dealership was mad for selling it at a lower price. Who knows but the damage was done by their incompetent so called detailer.

Awesome work. How was the paint to work with? A lot of earlier black subarus have sticky paint.

Thanks John!

Paint is so soft as you probably know. I haven't been having the sticky issue lately with any of the suby paints that I've worked on.

Maybe it's the lack of humidity in the temp? I don't know. I did have that issue with my car and another one like this one that was a 2012 STI.

Who knows why it's getting sticky.

One thing that I have now that's making a huge difference in time and cut is Kevin Brown's vented backing plate.

That would be something I would tell everyone to get. It changes the dynamics of the pad pressure, DA speed, pad temp, and pad longevity.

This paint is a pain sometimes not to marr it before you are done with it. It's that soft.

Wow! That thing looked like it wash washed with the shop broom! Nice save!

Thanks Chad! A shop broom pretty much says it all lol. It's like they took a rag off the floor and wiped it down with the biggest sweeps. :brick:
