Anyone ever heard of Hendick products?

My neighbor has a newer Cadillac and the dealer "convinced" him that he should buy a kit named "Hendrick" car care products (for a whopping $340 no less...ouch).

The kit contains car wash, finish restorer, interior cleaner. My neighbor has seen what I have done with a PC and Pinnacle stuff (plus NXT) and is amazed. I am willing to help him with my PC (he's in his 70's), but the finish restorer smells suspiciously like Collinite Insulator wax (heavy petroleum smell).

Anyone that can help with product knowledge is appreciated. I might tell him to keep his stuff boxed up and stick with the products that are already on my foam pads.

Thanks All.

Before I knew anything about car detailing, the dealer convinced me that the Autoguard will last forever and I fell for it. Hendrick is an autogroup/dealership and basically they buy from Perma Plate (sealants) and repackage them under their name. In my opinion it works, but you have to "refresh" every six month (or more often) and definitely is not worth the price. It smells like Liquid Glass if you ask me.

Thanks love2shine: I kinda figger'd that's what it was. I ended up using a 8006 pad and trying it out. After that, threw a coat of NXT on the car and the owner says it looks like it just came off the showroom floor with the NXT.
