Aircraft detailing

Autopia fire/rescue.
Has anyone ever detailed an airplane? We have a small airport in my community, and the owner of the airport asked me if I would be interested in detailing aircraft at his facility. He would provide the water and electricty, I provide the materials and the talent.



Most of the work would have to be done outside...he has very limited hangar space.
 
Way back in '82 my hobby was hanggliding in a wooden ASK13 & ASK8 with The Belgian Air Cadets.

We used to put some sort of wax on the attackboard of a wing to inprove performance.

But real detailing as such?

No...

I hope you can apply it by machine because that would take a long time by hand!
 
UPS did a study on the aerodynamics of a clean and detailed aircraft vs one that was not. Guess which ones attained a better range and speed while using the same amount of fuel?
