A6, ML350, MDX, my car

All look great! But yikes, all that marring from one wash! Your car now looks good again though.

Have you tried a rubber trim product on those door handle gaskets? I would think it would be able to restore them somewhat, especially if you wipe them down with IPA first.

Beautiful work as always! It's amazing that that much marring can come from one car wash!

When you have paint as soft as mine it is very believable. :(

No problems with door dings parking in a lot? I'm one of those guys that always parks in the far corner of a lot so no one parks right next to me.

I have a couple but even though anyone who rides with me b!tches up a storm, I only have a couple because I park way out in the parking lot too.

2000firebird-I like the Audis I have detailed, especially the S4s-but I am not sure I'd want to own a car with such PITA rock hard paint.

Zet-the main problem with rubber trim product is they tend to leave streaks on the paint when it rains. The door handles need repainting too, the white you see on them is the paint wearing off. I may just end up looking around for someone parting out a black 626 with better door handles and gaskets and swap them out.

ScottWax- In many ways I like seeing your Mazda more than the cutomers' cars; you're doing a great job keeping it nice :xyxthumbs

The S-H paintwork oughta blend well (if they did blend into the oe paint), S-H's clear for these applications supposedly "melts" into the blended areas better than anybody else's (or so they tell me). My last Mazda paintwork was done with S-H too :D

Bence- So it's "Spiess-Hecker, huh? I think I've been leaving out that additional "s" :o

Thanks!

The color match looks perfect on the car, even under harsh gas station lights and in the full sun. Honestly, I wish I could have had the whole car repainted but it isn't worth enough to drop $3500 on a paint job. Would have been nice to have some harder paint instead of the soft crap I have now, plus I could have had it painted a 'blacker' black. Oh well, I am sure I will live. ;)
