Me not finishing detailing my own truck. Today I detailed my grandmas Turbocharged VW Beetle and then decided I would give my truck some TLC. I started my truck by washing the entire truck, scrub wheels/tires and then drying it off. I was going to stop there but I wasn't happy with the way it looked. I haven't been keeping up with it lately especially when I'm at college because there isn't anywhere I can really detail it. I decided I was going to do a 3-step job on it since the paint looked horrible. I started with Meguiars Cleaner wax, then Meguiars Polish topped off with Meguars NXT all by hand. I worked on it for a good 5 hours. I got done with the hood, sides and saved the roof for last because by the time I would be done, it would be getting dark so the roof would be cool and good finish it off. Well my roomate from school stops by to pay bills and stays longer than I expect. he finally leaves and guess what happens.....it starts POURING. My truck is too big for my garage even though it wouldn't fit anyways because of my jetski on one side and junk on the other. I pull it in just enough to be able to finish the top. Moral of the story, I shouldn't have stopped working just because my friend stopped by. Other than that, it made my truck look 100 times better even though I had to take it to the gas station in the rain because my dad is taking it to work so I can detail his truck tomorrow. I was going to get after shots of my truck but the rain ruined it. I'm going to get before/.after shots of my dads truck tomorrow though. His truck is a mess. Sorry for the long post
I have a boat to do next week.
