What's The Difference Between Red Moose and Vanila Moose

If I am correct Red Moose is purely a "glaze" that has no abrasives where Vanilla Moose does have abrasives. However I have heard the abrasives are mild. Both will give you a very wet deep look...You can combine both to make Pink Moose 50/50 of each...Which gives great results. I use Red Moose often to just bring back shine and fill in *minor* swirls and I use Vanilla Moose on my black window pillars to remove the minor swirls. Do a side by side with VM on your pillars and you will see a difference Im sure. Im sure more people will chime in to help you out!

Well, I use to use VM a couple of years ago. Very nice product. Just never tried the Red Moose and did not pay attention when it was talked about. Sounds to me I should just stick with VM, if I decide to buy it again. Thanks for your help. What scent is the Red Moose if any?

I believe RMG is a tad less agressive than VM. VM also leaves wax behind, whereas RMG leaves no wax or silicon behind. I have both, and they're both nice although its hard to see major differences between the two aside from the color and VM's wax content.

I agree...aside from knowing one is less aggressive than the other..thats the only difference I know of, however the looks are the same. I have talked to some members and they said using VM often wouldnt do any damage...Hopefully we can get some insight into this. I cant help you out with the scent unfortunately...I often don't notice the smell of products unless they are really intense.

I can't resist, in fact I'm surprised someone hasn't mentioned this already. Try doing a search here on Pink Moose. Scottwax mixed the red and white with good results.

hey refresh my memory, i seem to be having a brain freeze. Glaze over sealant or sealant over glaze?

Well on paint, VM is the strongest. It does remove a tiny amount of paint (did this on a single stage 1935 MG P type on saturday) with an edge blue pad

Removes very fine marring permanently I've found and gives a really nice wet look and depth

Red Moose is finer and with an edge white , will deliver further improvements in wetness and depth while not removing any paint

Mixed together they save a step.

I prefer to mix all three - VM, RMG and the yellow moose wax for a better result

On plastics, rubbers and vinyl, Yellow moose is the strongest oxidation remover as I found out

Almost removed the shiny top coating of my exterior vinyl trims and is the go to product on really badly oxidised trim, you can use it and the other two by machine with edge blue pad to restore extremely bad trim

Red moose is next and VM is the weakest although still more powerful than any other brand's equivalent

You can mix all four mooses (the brown moose wax) to make double choc moose (as I call it) for a supreme shine after compounding and polishing
