What kind of brushes for trim?

I like blue! :oP
I've got molding around the entire car that has a split between the chrome and paint that gets tons of wax in it. What brush do I need to get that out?

I don't use a brush. I patiently wipe with a MF or terry towel. I fold as sharp of a crease that I can, and wipe, wipe, wipe.

AT Walmart I picked up an interior brush with a soft pointed rubber tip on the other end made for just this type of situation. I use a velvet smooth MF from poorboys on the end so that it does not mar or scratch. The velvet smooth is thin enough to fit in the small cracks with the rubber tip.

A high quality, clean, cut-bristled (3/4 inch, 2.5 inch wide) paint brush is what I use. It hasn't caused me any sort of problems, it's easy to find, and it works really well. I also use a brush cut to about (1/2 inch) to clean out my pads, it gives me a nice stiff surface that's not scratchy. Be sure to tape the metal part off with duct or electrical tape to shield from scratches.

Meg's Triple Duty Brush, has a thin row of bristles that limits the chances of marring or scratching the paint. It's able to get into tight areas. The slide-lock brush is also good at removing dried wax and polish from similar areas.

I would agree. The new Meguiar's Triple Duty Detail Brush is ideal for this type of work.

im going to check out the auto supply store to see if they have them. The trim on my jetta is hard to do, the split is so thin that the towel's wont get in there. You can see lil white spots all over. But good things is, car is still silky smooth after only 1 coat of #26.
