Ive been using Autoglym Super ResinPolish between #80 and P21s but I just ran out. Wondering what a I should try just to try something new. I hear most use klasse AIO but have to be careful and put it on super thin. I would like some other suggestions for my daily drivers.

VAnilla Mooose?

NXT?

any thoughts?

thx

:D

From what I understand if your using #80 with a polishing pad, your surface should be good to go. If you want to throw in an extra step then you have lots of options...

1Z MP, Clearkote VM, RMG, Menzerna FP, Poorboy's PwC etc.

I haven't been putting AIO on super thin, just the SG. I don't think super thin is as important with AIO. And frankly when I try to do either one super thin I can't tell if there is any on the paint at all. I feel like I'm just rubbing the MF applicator on my car for fun.

Honestly, you don't *have* to use anything between #80 and P21S since #80 breaks down so well.

If you want a glaze that accentuates the wetness and depth of #80, then Meguiars #7, #3 or #81 will work well, as well as Clearkote's RMG, VM or YCW, Poorboy's PwC and 1Z's Metallic Polish all also will look very nice after #80. AIO is pretty good too.

I agree. When I use anything with cleaners (AIO, SRP, etc.) after #80 I'll sometimes have marring "come back" as the cleaners trip off the #80's oils/fillers. IMO SRP is better for this than AIO since SRP does a little filling/hiding of its own.

The NXT oughta work OK for this too, but I'd see how you like going straight from #80 to your LSP or else use a glaze.

And don't forget the #5 ;) Heh heh, just had to plug my favorite Meg's "pure polish" :D

Yeah I really am happy with the SRP but I thought it was a good opportunity to try something new. Trying the #80 straight to the P21s sounds GREAT! eiliminating a step would be helpful because I do wax often. Sometimes 3 or 4 washes in a row. The only thing I miss with the P21s is the super slick feeling paint after SRP. The carnuba seems a little tacky, slick to a mf but not to my hand.

BTW I did my wifes Avalon yesterday and boy oh boy the depth...

wash an clay

#80 w/ yellow propel

srp w/ blue propel (let cure 1 hour before removal)

P21s by hand (waited 4 hours for SRP to set a bit)

Heres a few shots from this morning.

Thx a bunch guys!

Nice, I especially like SRP on colors like that. FWIW, I find I can apply it very gently and avoid most of its "cleaning" abilities. I'll even go so far as to say that it seems it can be layered (but I know, I know, "you can't layer products like that one...").

If you *do* try something else, don't be surprised if you end up keeping SRP on hand anyhow ;)

Agreed, I do not use SRP as a polish but as step 1 before using EGP for protection and sometimes follow with a wax
