wettest polish/wax combo

in your opinion what is the combination of products you use to create the deepest, wettest, shimmer, look on your paint possible?

machine or hand use?

Pinnacle PCL/Souveran by far. Klasse AIO/Souveran second. PCL/Souveran seems to be a special occasion type treatment. Klasse/Souveran is what I prefer for a daily driven car.

I think a lot of it depends on the color of the car. For example, on my car (Harvest Gold '01 Duratec Taurus), I went with an all Meguiar's look: #7/#20/#26. The surface looks like someone coated it with honey. Nice wet look that really accents the gold.

For my wife's black Suburban, I went with GEPC/P21S. Outstanding look, but given that the car is garaged (even during the day!), it should look good!

GEPC gives great shine on black. Blitz as a topper works great, although I hear S100/P21S is even wetter but won't last as long.

Ok, here's my vote: Zaino on my red SC430. Go see my sig and other pics in gallery.

Well, maybe not a wax, so for wax I like Souveran paste, but I'm dying to see the new Clearkote Moose carnuba. Anyone have a pic of the new Moose wax bottle yet? I know someone who's a Moose-aholic

I like a lot of combos.

Meguiars SPF or #9/HP or #7/#26 gives a real nice warm glow to the paint.

Vanilla Moose, Final Polish (Car Polishes, not Mezerna) and S100 gives bright, wet and reflective look.

Swirl Free, Vanilla Moose and Carnuba Moose give a look similar to the VM/FP/S100, but deeper and slightly darker.

Scott, or anybody, have you tried topping this combo with S100? Results?

Pretty much. Meguiars Swirl Free and Hand Polish and topped with S100. Very nice glow.

BTW, this is Vanilla Moose/Carnuba Moose on a red Acura I detail regularly:

Holy Moose-shine, Scottwax!! That is one hell of a shine.

My personal favorite is to start with a nice thin application of Mother's sealer/glaze using a PC, then followed by either P21S carnauba for a glossy reflective shine or Mother's pure carnauba or Meguiar's #26 for a soft, warm shine.

Frankie, any good quality glaze + wax combo will provide excellent wetness & jetting.

i just love the wet and jetting effect it just gives me the goosebumps when i see it

man that acura looks like a pool u can dive into its so wet

how did you do that and with what products im digging that look

Scottwax, I want this "Vanilla Moose/Carnuba Moose" thing. Whatever it may cost.

PS: It is the most shiny vehicle I ever seen.

B L AC KF IR E...(....!what a hassle that was !)

Way deep, "back to the warning track" deep, "Its outta here" deep......Real shine comes around after a day or two......

Polish is easy to use...some have smearing some dont

It seems to be a very wet combination. How long it protects for, I don't know for sure yet.

I've been using Carnuba Moose for a while now (since June when I got a sample) and I know from testing on cars I clean regularly, the VM/CMW combo will bead and shine very nicely for at least 7-8 weeks. The car that I've had that comination on the longest and was hoping to see if it would make it a full three months (she gets it waxed every 3 months) was traded in on Monday and last week, at 8 weeks, it was still beading. At this point, I cannot verify the claim of up to 6 months protection, which seems a little long for a carnuba other than Collinite, but I'm going to try and find something to test it on to see how long it will actually bead for.

I think the one drawback that Carnuba Moose is going to have (and apparently it is one shared by most if not all liquid waxes) is that it probably isn't layerable.

BTW, the picture of Carnuba Moose isn't on the Clearkote website yet, but it has been added to the order form.
