Trying a new combo

Right now I have and going to use

Poorboys SSR 2.5

Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze

RMG

Poorboys EX

CMW

Natty Blue

Im asking if this is worth it to get? I was thinking of getting Poorboys SSR 1, to follow up after 2.5. Is Vanilla Moose Wax Handle glaze the samething as SSR1?

VM is not the "same thing" as SSR1, but either VM or RMG could be used in your regimen as a final polish after the SSR2.5. What color is your car?

Black, ok i will just get SSR1. So I will do

SSR 2.5

SSR 1

VM

RMG

PB EX

CMW

NB

Maybe I will do Pink Moose (VM/RMG). So I only have to do 1 pass.

what you need to do is to do a test spot of about 18" x 18", with whatever combo of products you are thinking about using. work through your entire process on the test spot. this way, you will be able to tell if your combo is going to work, or if you need to eliminate, swap, or add something else. if you can't make the test spot look good, you won't be able to detail the entire car look good.

VM can and will remove defects

if it will work for you on your car NO-ONE but YOU will be able to answer

I would do SSR 2.5

then try Pink Moose

if it does not finish down good enough

then add the SSR 1

I think you could use Meg #2 fine cut cleaner instead of SSR1.

You have a lot of redundancy in that regimen. IMO, for what you are trying to do, you only need to do one of SSR1/VM/RMG (or just the Pink Moose). As far as the LSP, you've got one sealant/nuba combo, a liquid nuba, and a paste nuba...you certainly don't need to do more than the EX and one other (the NB would make most sense). I'm not sure you're going to gain a whole lot by doing two, since all of them are basically carnauba...I'd just pick one. OTOH...I'm trying to simplify my life...you can certainly do whatever you'd like.

how will i know if it finished down good?

you'll most likely have a little micromarring left or a hazy look to the paint, so finishing down with pink moose will bring back the nice gloss. If it doesn't bring back that gloss, add the SSR1 as a more progressive way of finishing down the paint.

:wall There are no absolutes in this. If you are doing defect removal on black paint, your first step will likely leave some micromarring or haziness. If your paint is very hard, your technique good, maybe it won't, or maybe it will look fine to you. There are about 100 combinations of product, pad, machine, and technique...maybe 200 that you could use for that final polishing step. Dozens of products, bunches of pads from white to blue to red to black to Edge white the Meg's finishing etc. etc. etc.

To paraphrase a comment in another thread, just get some seat time. Use the products you have, and see what happens.

Just??? That's 4 polishing steps! And two LSP's...in the same day. Knock yourself out, brother, but not me.

What so hard? I want to polish and do my whole car over. Do 1 pass with each polish/wax. I dont have to wait for it to dry. I want a really shiny, wet looking car with no swirls/scratches.

Yes, PC 7424. I mean it will take time, but it is doable in 1 day. Then I will just follow up with NB 24 hours later or so.
