ok, just picked up some liquid ntx tech wax and some F21 turtle polish. I would still like to use a clay bar.

will mothers clay bar brake down in ntx car wash??? or do i have to use the QD that comes with the kit (the mothers kit is the only clay bar i see anyware and i really want to clay when (after) im washing)

can i apply liquid tech wax with a microfiber applicator?

how long does the supplyed foam aplicator last?

once you got the wax on the car, can you take it off with a regular (quality) microfiber cloth?

is there anything the "noob idiots" usually do when waxing that you guys laugh at?

your answers are appriciated, and even if I do mess up, it wont be on my new car, but my dads truck (he bought the wax)

- Either the soap and water or quick detailer method will work.

can i apply liquid tech wax with a microfiber applicator?

- If you'd like.

how long does the supplyed foam aplicator last?

- You can wash and reuse many times.

- Yes.

- Avoid trim when using NXT and apply thinly.

Answers in bold :)

wow ZaneO, thanks again for the insanely fast and "exatly what I was looking for" reply. detail city is alot more friendly than Meguiar's forms... "mabee you should read this write-up about detailing right here.. bithc"

oh, and i was thinking of taping the trim, does NXT stain, or can i forget the tape and use a whit eraser (heard that works too)

NXT does nto stain, that is what is neat about it. I personally have NEVER taped trim before a detail, if you know how to control your polisher then you shouldn't need to mask /tape off the trim unless you are heavy compounding a car..

I've found that NXT *will* stain trim (sometimes severely).

And it's never a bad idea to tape trim.

i waxed twice now with nxt, i did notice a little staining whenever i hit the trim (once on the driver side door)

One option is to tape off the trim prior to polishing. It may take a little longer, but then, how long does it take you to clear the staining off the trim.
It may be worth while

If this is your first time to use NXT Leave it dry for a loooong time. The longer the better. It will wipe off ok regardless of how long you leave it on.
I wait at-lest one hour and have left it on for 24 hours before wiping it off.

thanks, i think i asked about drying time. everyone said "read the instructions", but the instructions said "let dry", so i was kind of perplexed
