SFx Trouble

Recently, it could be me but I am getting a lot of streaking and wax that does not want to come off without serious effort.

Example I was using SFX 1 and applied it evenly and nicely with the PC. It was such a bear to get off I had to use a QD to assist removal.

Then I applied NXT and it came and went nicely, but then topping with #16 again required some QD to make sure it was all off.

I am more worried about the SFX line since I Have all three and want to use it, but it was a bear to remove. Should I run the PC till it is almost gone or should I let it sit for awhile afterwards.. I need advice.

Yeah, there have been similiar complaints with the SFX line (myself including), their newer 2.0 versions is supposed to be better - but that doesn't help when you already spend $$$ on the first version.

Sorry.

I recommend Mothers Powerpolish, it is very effective and comes and goes easily.

I've yet to experience this problem with sfx-2. But, I certainly don't leave the product on after working it in. Are you getting results you like aside from everything else?

Pad type, speed etc. would help

4K speed

Green Pad

Was a PITA to remove.. tired doing it right after the hood was done, then tried to let one dry.... A total nightmare.

Remove it every spot you polish, i.e. every 2x2 area. You could try bumping it up to 5, although I have done it at 4 as well with a green pad and no ill effects. hopefully someone else can chime in to help!

MR. Clean 2K,

You aren't working the polish enough, and are probably using too much. I just used the SFX polishes a few days ago to get out pretty nasty scractch off my father's black F150 and it was one of the easiest polishes I have used. Very long working time, and very effective.

I suggest using a little less product, and working it on speed 5. Speed 4 is too slow, and I don't like 6 because I find it tears up my pads.

Like others have said, be sure to only polish a small 2x2 area at a time and *work* the polish, don't *apply* it.

Hope this helps.

I don't prime my pads with anything other than the product I am using anymore. I've had nothing but trouble when priming my pads with water, qd, or anything other than the product I'm using. Next time, just put a nice ring or two of polish on a fresh pad, and then smear it around with your finger and rub it into the pad. This is all you need to do, and it won't affect the polish at all like water and qd does.
