I was feeling kind of poor that day. :) I took advantage of the CMA discount and my wallet was a little thin. I want it to get warmer so I can start using some of this stuff and making money again! :) I'm all over PepBoys tonight though. I'm making a car wash bucket for my wife's car. Just the bare essentials, of course. Abosrber, California Water Blade, MF towels, you know. The needed things for a quick wash at the local car wash. :)

I visited Pep Boys today (and Auto Zone, and Advanced Auto Parts, and Wal-Mart :D ) and they didn't have that sale :( . I picked up some FI and Eagle One Wipe 'n Shine anyway. Meguiar's Quick Detailer was on sale, but silicon is for girls, not for my car. I also bought the #26 paste from Auto Zone, because it was on sale. Eagle One Mag-Chrome and Aluminum Polish was also on sale, so I got me a can. Advanced Auto Parts has NOTHING-- all cleaner waxes and burgandy bottles. (Pep Boys has the best selection, in my opinion.) From Wal-Mart, I picked up an Eagle One Xpress foam applicator which I will use to apply Klasse SG.

I visited four different stores today, and Auto Zone and Pep Boys both had only ONE kind of foam applicator (Pep Boys had a yellow Turtle Wax one; Auto Zone had a grey door-knob looking one). Wal-mart had several different kinds to choose from, and of course, Advanced Auto Parts only had terry-type applicators (not even 100% cotton). AND, after visiting four stores, I saw absolutely NO 100% cotton wash mits :( .

Still, I can't complain. It was a good day :)

I did the exact same thing! Note that the prices are not marked down on the shelf tags... I had to go to the regster to have them do a price check--and sure enough--FI for $2.80!

PepBoys here in Brooklyn actuallly had the shelf tags listed for the 'clearance items' - in this case, some Meguiar's products (like FI, Endurance (kit only, with 10oz and applicator for $5), and some other less notable products.

All the applicators and wax pads were on sale - picked up (as Pat mentioned) the 4 finger foam applicator for $0.80 each!! That seemed like a real deal. Picked up a few Absorbers too - at $6 each, I can now reserve one for use on my lower panels, and one for the 'unmentionables' (rims, other very dangerous body parts).

Now - would you guys please STOP SAVING ME MONEY! I'm going broke here :)

Chuckmotor,

At least you have Pep Boys near you, I have to drive some 200 miles to the closest one in Nashville. Have to admit I go there on business quite often and last time picked up E1 Carnauba Fast Wax @ $3.50/can. Never used it before, is it any good?
