Quick G35 winter wash + bonus...

So here in Chicago it was actually 55 outside so I had to wash the G. Sorry for no before pics but just imagine the car covered in white salt residue. Also, I don't know if others have done this before but I found what I though to be a GREAT alternative to a foam gum. Goo Gone makes a home window cleaning "gun" that you can spray your windows down, even on the second floor, and it's basically a bottle with their cleaning solution in it. I was out of the cleaning solution so I cleaned out the bottle and put a couple ounces of Megs gold in it, filled it half way with water, and started to soak the car. It worked extremely well and the best part is that it cost $7.99!!!! There are 3 settings on the nozzle: rinse, soap and off. Set it to soap and start the pre-soaking.

So I just bought some new Meguiars Techwax 2.0. I just wanted to get something on the car for some extra protection since she'll be getting a major detail in about a month. I've been hearing great things about the wax and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Extremely slick and easy on, easy off. So yeah, just a basic clean up.

Goo Gone Gun for the pre-soak. 2 bucket method with megs gold class. Used the toro leaf blower to get most the water off. Megs Techwax 2.0 on the car and Zaino z-16 on tires.

Hahaha, it's winter... you think I'm going to be driving with those things on??? This has been the 8th snowiest winter in Chicago history. I'll put them back on April 1st I hope. Also going on will be kenstyle rear, greddy sides, veilside front lip. I can NOT wait until warmer weather is here! Find any wheels for the 37 yet? Also have you seen the new top secret kits for the 37? SO HOT!!

Nice work, but I don't think thats a good alternative to the foam gun

Cause why get this much:

Because I think what people forget is it's not about how much foam you get, it's about a good wet soapy soak and good lubricity. Also, we're talking $7.99 opposed to a minimum of $60.00. More foam does not mean better, it's just more air blown into the soap.
