Question for Pink Wax users

What's a good combo to use with PW?



Anyone tried spit shinning PW with 425?

Spit shine works well with #425, but better with a carnauba-based QD (ie: Sonus Carnauba Mist).

What do you use for prep before PW?

I used 1Z, Riwax, Optimum, 3M polishes, FK 303 glaze, 2180 sealant, heck, even Mothers PreWax Cleaner as a base. I topped Zaino Z2Pro, Mothers CG Pure Carnauba, NXT Paste/#21 and even Collinite 845 with it. In my experience, Pink has great adherence/bonding characteristics and stable over anything.



As for spit shining, I haven't tried 425 or a carnauba based QD, but it works great with chilled distilled water.

Is 425 not intended to use in conjunction with PW?

NHBFAN: I usually polish with Menzerna, then IPA wipedown and Z2 Pro or Z5...After cross-linked (24hrs), I would do Pink Wax.



If you want wax only, go FPII, RMG, then PW.

425 is fully compatible with Pink. I just haven't tried to spit shine with it.
