PC 7424 Pad Selection... Help Appreciated

Ok so my PC is on the way and I am about to order pads but I'm a bit confused since some of the pads by description seem to overlap each other for application use.

Please know that I have tried researching and am not looking to be spoon fed but could use some "seasoned autopian" suggestions.

I have the optimum line (new formula) on the way (Compound, OHC, OPS, Polish, OCW).

I will be ordering the LC pads.. right now I'm thinking CCS.

I want to get all the pads I need but don't want to go overboard. I do not plan on using my PC for LSP application or removal.

So now that you know what machine/product I will have and that I wont be using it for LSP's I was hoping for some opinions on pad choices.

CCS vs Flat

and here's the pads I'm thinking of getting:

2 – yellow

2 - orange

2 – white

2 – green

2 – gray/black

Are any of these choices redundant, can I eliminate any.. should I add any?

Thoughts?

Many Thanks!

Jason

Jason,

Sorry I wasn't able to get back to your PM sooner, I tried to reply but your mailbox was full.

I think you could get away with the following:

1 – yellow

1 - orange

2 – white

1 – green

1 – gray/blac

Remember pads can be cleaned while polishing by simply spraying them with water, wiping with a microfiber and spin drying on speed 2 or 3.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any help.

BaseSteala112: I'm also getting my pads from Danase. A seasoned Autopian suggested 5 pads as well. I may get a 4" for tight areas

Josh: Yeah, I need to tend to that in box. So much good info people and I talk about. I guess I should just copy the info into a word file and erase them all. WOW, I may be able to save a few bucks? Are there any pads that are more proned to ripping/damage? If so I think I should get two of them, I'd be real pissed to tear one in the middle of a detail!

I have an orange pad that the backing of it is slowly coming off. I think it tends to happen more to the orange/yellow pads because of their stiffness. However, it takes a while for this to happen. If you want to get two of another pad I would choose the orange, because with the yellow pad it is very aggressive so you probably won't need to use it as often.

Don't forget to use the Autopian discount code, I believe it is just "autopia"
