Okay, this is the best product I've ever used...

I tried Eagle One Wax as U Dry today, talk about a fantastic product! Does just what it says which is always nice to see.

I QEW'd and sprayed the WAUD before I dried each panel. Talk about a great shine! The car looks freshly waxed it really does. On top of that it made drying MUCH easier and streak free and made the two steps I do after QEW unneccisary, QD'ing and 20/20ing the windows saving me 20 minutes or so. Just a quick once over the windows with a glass MF and it looked great. I'm hooked, I will use this every QEW from now on. What a great product...

Glad you got your fingers wet with the WAUD, it really is a great product for in between washes, and does provide a better than decent amount of protection. Try it as a QD also, youll be surprised...!

I've been saying this for a few months now. :o

:) It's really awesome stuff.

I know Corey :). I just had to hear at least one more before I'd go out and get it.

I'm a bit confused... is WAUD actually putting down a wax then on top of what you already have?

How does this affect cars that already have sealants on them? Can I add another layer of sealant if I've used WAUD or do I have to wait for it to wear off (or strip it off.)

I ask this because I've purposely not put a topper on my daily driver because I want to be able to add another coat of WG whenever I feel the need without having to strip a carnauba topper off. WAUD sounds like it's putting wax on top of what you have.

Any thoughts?

Well it is called Wax as you dry so my guess is it puts down wax ;)

I would not use it in between polymer coats no, it would probably effect the bonding of subsequent coats. It leaves the paint really slick and looking just waxed so theres no question it leaves something behind.

If you like the results from WAUD try the 1Z Perls shampoo. It lays down a coat of polymer protectant as you wash. Fantastic product. Wash, rinse and vehicle looks like it was just QD'd and waxed. :xyxthumbs

Also 1Z has a polymer WAUD-like product like will be available soon that I have tried (thanks Jose') that is like spraying on a polymer shield - 1Z LackFinish. This stuff is wild. :bounce

You can pre-order the 1Z lackfinish and it will be in....either late may or early June. I have no affilitation with them, so maybe I can say it is from Detailers' Paradise.

Thanks for that tip blkZ28Conv:xyxthumbs

Since I've decided to go the carnuaba route on my own truck I was pondering switching car washes. The only product that I could think of that added something was TW zip wash.

I didn't really want to start using TW products at this stage. Perhaps 1Z Perls will "fill the bill".

Cool! thx for info. Sounds like 1Z LackFinish is exactly what I want.

I love this forum but it keeps feeding my obsession. Stop it! :p

I'll echo that it's a great product. I used it on my aquamarine Saturn every wash. But it seemed to streak on my black Miata, so I quit using it. I used up nearly all of the stuff I have as a rather thick QD.

I'm thinking I might start using it again on my wife's silver Focus, but at five dollars a bottle, and each bottle only seems to do two cars, it's not too cheap. Though it is very fast.

I have always wondered about this product but decided to give it a try since all of you like it and Costco is selling two 32 oz. bottles for $8.49......I figure if nothing else I can use it as a QD after washing and won't be losing any ground since it is cheaper than QuikShine and I always QD after washing anyway.

If you were only getting one bottle to do two cars then you were over using it, I used maybe 1/8th of a bottle to do my entire car, a larger car than a Saturn.

Is this supposed to be a substitute for regular waxes and sealants, or is it more like a detailer with carnuba in it?

That Lackfinish stuff also sounds interesting.
