So with my new vehicle purchase it has you guesed it NEW leather! I`ve never had *new* leather always years old.

I want to take the proper steps from the start to make sure I get good life from my leather. I live in Sacramento area of California and we see 100+ days often and 90 regularly.

What process/products do you guys suggest I use on my leather new? monthly? Or after a while?

Thanks

As soon as I picked up my car I protected the leather with Zaino Z10.

My process now Alternates once every 1-2 months.

Deep clean and Protect with 1Z leather Care.

Next time Wipe down wipth a damp MF and Z10.

Combined with using low or non fragranced products in the inside trim too, Poorboys NL, Meguiars Interior Detailer or 1Z CP, 6 months on my car still smells the same as when it arrived at the stealership.

Modern leather is very easy to care for. The big thing is keep it clean! I recommend wiping it down with a slightly damp cloth every time you wash the car. The sun and oils from your skin cause the most damage. So protect from both.

Almost all new leather upholstery finishes are split hides with a micro-thin vinyl coating. The coating has perforations that allow the leather to breath, but it also does a great job of holding hydration in. I did thorough testing last year to determine what can get though the vinyl barrier and what won't. Amazingly, medium to heavy creams do nothing but treat the surface. They do not penetrate the vinyl coating to re-hydrate the leather. Think about that when choosing a product to treat your leather.
