Looking for the answer

I have a 2002 PT Cruiser. Some of the 01 & 02's came from the factory with some overspray on the rear bumper, my car is black and the taped off over spray area looks greyish, I thought it was wax but at a recent PT meeting I found out other wise. Any suggestions on removing this from the textured bumper..

Clay is the answer. Click that and see if it helps. Overspray can be removed as long as it isn't clear coated over. A clay bar should do the trick at removing it if it is what I think it is. My 99 Acura had the same problem. The dealership wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to do their 'special procedure' to it. I fixed it myself with about 5 minutes of my time and some clay. Worked out great.
