Just picked up 4 3 packs of the Viking microfiber towels. They had a special 2 3 packs for $5. Then I opened up a sears/kmart card and you get $10 off your first purchase, so I basically paid 50 cents for 12 MF's. :) They had the viking bundle kit with the big drying towel that I got for 9.99 before, now its for $16.99. They had the whole line of viking. They had this detailing towel I think it was green and 1 towel costs $5. I think im going to use these towels for my interior/wheels/engine, but then again why would someone need good towels for this. It wont really scratch anyways. I dont think I can use these towels on my paint, they dont look or feel that bad, but somewhat thin. Anyone else know or have gotten these 3 pack MF towels (Green/yellow/blue).

I am happy for you. Now you can go and get into some detailing so you can post on the click and brag. Good Luck.

The green Viking towels are pretty nice towels, just as good as the boutique towels. They're way too nice of towels to use on dirty jobs like wheels and engine.

The one I am referring to has 2 sides, one side with a longer, plusher nap and the other side with a shorter nap. Kmart also carries the Viking edgeless towels, which are also of similar/same quality as some boutique edgeless towels.

If you want towels for dirty work, go pick up a bag of Costco or Sam's club mf towels.

agreed with BlackElantraGT ^ .if you use the 3pk mf towels on the paint with no ill effects, then use them otherwise use them for the dirtier tasks. the three i specifically like to use for the paint are the gold x-large mf drying towel, orange edgeless polishing towel, and the green quick detailing towel...

Those are expensive, i have the drying towel but the others i might as well buy online. why would i buy a expensive towel in the store when i could order from pakshak or excel, wherever and know its very plush and good.

Are you kidding me, blownvert?

Yes they are a little more expensive than your average towel, but you can have your towel in your hand the day you buy it and no shipping charges (but tax) for a towel that is equal to many of the boutique towels. But if you can wait for your towels to ship then so be it. But if you need your towels now then pick up the Vikings. BigAl is trying to show you the light.

At $5 a pop for the detailing and edgeless polishing towels, they do seem a bit expensive at first but as howareb mentioned, once you factor the cost of shipping the price isn't so bad.

The green Viking towels are outstanding! They're very, very, very plush! I plan to pick up more of them in the future.

if you need to order by the bulk, then yes it would be best to buy online. but, if you need to buy a few and do not want to pay shipping, then these are a good choice. i have many mf towels, and the viking/mothers are just as nice/good as the boutique brands. don't always think that boutique = better...

Say you want 3 towels that is $15. I think that is a little pricey IMO, but ya I can see about shipping. why would someone buy 1 anyways? You cant detail a car with just 1 towel, always a few at a time.

if you feel that is pricey, go buy some cheaper mf towels and use them. if you get good results with the cheaper mf towels in your eyes, then by all means use them. sometimes, you get what you pay for...

Stick with the recommendations you got elsewhere for the Vroom towels at Target. I think the consensus at Autopia (my view) is that the gray ones are safe for paint. and a decent value.

They may lint a little when cleaning glass and not be the most durable towels but they should be able to do anything you want. You can spend too much time worrying about microfiber towels.

I think its a really addiction in buying MF towels, how many does a person really need. I just keep buying them like I dont have enough. I have so many interior/wheel towels now.

You'll feel better when you stop counting...

I just buy the three pack of the megs towels every now and then when I make a order on ADS. I think they are only $5 for the 3 pack which seems like a great deal to me and they seem to do great.

they list for $6.99 through megs, ADS and maybe a few other places, but if you buy them in person (kragen, etc), they run $9.99 IME...
