I have decided to go with a sealant. My question is Zaino or Klasse? I will top either one with PS. Thanks to all who participate.

one of the most widely discussed topics and one of the most subjective choices. I personally vote Klasse. But do a search and decide what's best for you

Yup, if you want to put multiple coats Zaino with ZFX. If your cars paint is in bad shape or getting older then AIO to SG, with second coat the next day for cure time. These 2 are the best either way.

I've used the Klasse twins and like them very much. Easy to use IMO and reasonably priced. I haven't tried Zaino and won't at the price. Just not worth it to me.

I have not tried Zaino, and just found out Zaino bro's is about 20 minutes away from me! :wall

Anyway I am very pleased with SGx3 and plan to do SGx4 before winter. My car looks great! I was debating if I should do SGx4 and top it with a carnuba, or go for SGx5 and leave options for more layering being it looks so good. When I hear peeps speak of layering sealants, The look of SG on my car comes immediately to my mind! :D

It really depends. Both are good product and there are strength and weaknesses. Go with the Klasse Twins if you dont have much time to detail because most people say you do not need to wait for SG to cure.

For shine, I still prefer Zaino Z2. I am not impressed by SG even though many people will prove me wrong, its just my personal preference.

The best combo for me will be to use AIO as a cleaner and then top it off with Zaino.

Interesting. I'm a Zaino user also. I use Menzerna IP and FPII for prepping.

My impression of AIO was that it was a mild cleaner and protectant, but lately I'm noticing a lot of people using AIO just as a cleaner step followed by a protectant. Some questions:

- Where is AIO in an overall prep process? I.e., after claying and washing, do you polish (e.g. with IP or FPII) and then clean with AIO? Does AIO replace a medium (IP) or final polish (FPII)?

- Are there any steps to make sure Z2 bonds with the AIO-cleaned surface? For example, do you use Z7 after applying AIO?

Thanks and regards,

Dan.

AIO is the last step after polishing (ie Menzerna, DACP, etc) before you apply Zaino. AIO though mild does help diminish the visibility of extremely mild surface marring that Z5 is not quite up to doing. This AIO / Z5 x3 / Z2x3 is an excellent combo. No special prep for Z bonding if one uses either ZFX or Z1 when applying to AIO prepped surface. Also your first coat(s) of Zaino can be applied immediately after AIO application.

As usually the surface prep with products like Menzerna is still necessary for best results.

I love Zaino and I like Klasse very much also. You can not go wrong with either for equivalent carnauba-like appearance features( wetness and depth) "if" the paint is prepped to produce the "natural" depth and wetness it possess. Durability and retention of that just waxed/sealed appearance is excellent for both products. :xyxthumbs
