interesting revelation regarding post QD swirls

i just did my first ever wash with zaino.. results were good... though after i z6d it i did notice the usual swirlish marks (the ones that don't go around in a cirlce but like a straight line perpinduclar to the way you buffed) i have been seeing... i thought ohh well.. striped it 3 times.. not doing it again for a while.. just have to live with it.

Then i tried something (by accident) i wiped my towel in the direction the mark from the swirl went... to my suprise.. it disappeard... or rather moved... it was now perpendicular to the new direction i buffed... so it appears that my marks (and i assume other people have seen it) are not scratches in the finish like i thought... just left over QD or something that get's pushed and aligned when i buff... now i just have to find a way to get rid of them... or align them in a way they can't be seen. I gotta good pic of what i'm talking about from a few weeks ago (at the time didn't know what it was..)

you can see how the swirl doesn't go all around the light source.. but rather cuts away from it in a single direction like a ray.. if that makes sense... anyone else notice/solve this problem?

ok i drew some lines to help explain... the circled part is the 'swirl' i've been seeing.... i found if i push my towell in the direction of the arrow, that swirl completely dissappears.. and realigns itself to where the dashes are.

i have had that problem in hot weather with some QD or wax.

the best thing that worked for me is get some good machine glaze and using a pc or rotary, buff the panel and wipe off right away dont give it a chance to sit on the car for long. rub side to side from bumper to bumper and it should all be gone.

Also if you are using a MF or towel be sure it is a clean one. If you have left over product on it you are only spreading it around and when it dries up it will look like the picture you posted
