I am the rainmaker!

Here in Houston, it's been pretty dry since Memorial Day. I spent yesterday detailing the Grand Prix since it hadn't been done since the end of January. Now that it looks great, we have a 60% chance of t-storms today, 40% tomorrow and 60% on Sunday.

I was planning on doing the Envoy this weekend, but it looks like that won't be happening. :(

Scott,

Please send them farther south.......I'll wash both cars and leave them outside if it will help!:howdy

I would clean it anyway. I just finished wiping down my black truck in the rain. It looks nice now with all the beading on the tonneau cover, roof, and hood. AT least it is clean before I go out onto the road.

Heck, two weeks ago it was snowing here in Fairbanks. Yes, I was wiping it down in the snow as well. I do it once a day, at least. Rain or shine. Of course I have been accused of being obtuse. Oh well.

Scott P, we're on a longer dry streak than that up here in the D/FW metroplex area. In fact, the drought situation has been increased to the moderate level and we are on water restriction (2 designated days per week). Rain is in the forecast for Sat, Sun, and Mon here. Yesterday was one of my water usage days, so I went ahead and washed the Wife's VW. Hopefully we can attach the Rainmaker moniker to me as well :)

UPDATE: Just had a nice little shower here. Not a drought ender by any means, but it was nice. I don't know if the VW got wet, but the Volvo is beading nicely from the application of EO's WAUD (over 2-3 week old application of PB's PwC)after last Sunday's wash. Here's hoping for more rain.

Be a little careful in how you toss that title around. It has been in my profile for a loooong time and has been tagged on me for years.
And for just the reason you picked it up. I wash my cars so often, I'm blamed for the rainy spells we have.
(By the way, it doesn't work.:))

We got a nice sprinkiling on Friday. It rained overnight, so I busted out some Spray & Wipe and a waffle weave to clean off the car this morning before the sun hit it.

It's now been raining for the past few hours. Now I can't go anywhere since I'm not about to drive my shiny car through any mud puddles. :)

It rained most of the evening on Friday nite. In fact it was raining as I drove to work. Eleven miles and the truck was polluted with road grime.

Because it was raining I left the motel early to clean the truck when I arrived. As luck would have it the rain stopped as soon as I arrive at the employee parking. Even if it would not have stopped raining I would have wiped the road grime off.

I got out the S&W with my MF towels and did a quick wipe down. After 15 minutes I was done with the wipedown. Just as I finished the sun came out from behind the clouds. The mosquito's were not so bad so I took out some more MF towels and did S&G wipedown that brought it back all the way to neat, clean, and shiney.

One of the women that works for the company came over to the company truck that I was in waiting for the shift to start. She wanted to know what kind of products I use to keep the truck so neat and clean even though the roads are all wet from raining all nite. It never occured to her that I might have taken the time to wipe the grime off before I started work. Yes, I am sorry to say.....she was a blonde. :D
