Huge Car meet next month, I need a plan of attack!

May 10th is the yearly MX-5 BBQ and car show, with over 100 cars, and 250 or more people showing up, all pretty much with the same car....

I have a black 96 with Tan leather interior, and all of the options. IMO, the prettiest of the main stream bunch, with a few special editions that do look a bit better.

So I need to detail the bejesus out of my baby for this show!

I'll be getting her back from the body shop next week, so I'll have about a month of planning and prepping and buying product before it's time to go!

My plan so far:

exterior: Clay, SMR, Klasse, topped with S100 and I need a good QD that'll work with this... Is this the best for a 6 year old black finish??

Interior: Eagle One dash protectant, I need a leather treatment

Glass: Stoners and RainX

Tires and rims - no idea... Help!

and any tips you guys can give me!!!

I have to drive the car about 2 hours to the destination, and will prolly go for a run during the meet, along with people touching and poking, and playing with her....

Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you will be subject to traditional car show judging. But if so, it is the engine compartment that separates winners. Didn't notice it on your list.

I do plan on doing the bay, but it's not really formal judging or anything like that, just a whole bunch of friends and acquiantences with a common interest playing with their cars. There is a best of show and all of that, but it's not that serious. I want the car to stand out amoungst the crowd though, and would love to show off the edge I've gotten from the knowledge on this site!

You left out Time LOTSA time.... hehe

Tires-i like the way 303 protectant looks

wheels-AIO then go over them with SG

QD-you could use Megs FD or Clearkotes quik shine

leather-personal pref is Pinnacle Leather Conditioner

make sure you take some MF's with you and some QD so you can go over her at the show when you get there

autopia has a great search function...it does not bite when you use it.
